    Lol that guy. I checked his bandcamp and realized I've come across his tunes before. I didn't come across anything worth hearing again, but I don't go for those super-sound-design-y types of musicians usually. I love his music a lot. Especially his 2008 RADIOLAND. His recent Before Nostromo is cool too. Check Stasis 5 (Ripley's Dream) — really deep shit.

    considering he sells his own stuff in 24 bit as well it's probably not about the "humans can't tell difference anyway" thing. anyhow i don't quite get the point, it's like "wagner yeah, 5 points for the music, -3 because he's an antisemite." Your example isn't really comparable, discogs is the place for finding out about cut quality as much as about music. Sure there could be a Holocaust music lovers site, where they rate nazi loyalty level. Needless to say, rating habits are differ, some are giving 1-stars to the best stuff and don't give much of a fuck, at least Mathieu left a note. So what's wrong with 24-bit version then? Any non-humans? I also guess he's point that selling 24 bit files more expensive than 16 bit is trickery.

    I got pretty scary convulsions 7 February 2013 while being stoned and listening to CD2 for the first time. You had to see it lol! They peaked on cloudline and i had to go to the kitchen and drink some cheap bourbon to stop this shit.

    I guess there are also huge amount of weird realtime reverb algos. Griesinger “figure eight” with pvoc involved, FDN variations stepping on chorus territory (latentcall) etc.

    Level of DSP-skills starts to be unobtainium for 5-6 years to me again. I feel there are strange phase modulation + waveguide hybrid synthesis engines (c7b2, acdwn2), huge feedback networks with variable latency from 0 to n, phase vocoding wizardy (7th slip) and so on.

FYI I made an attempt to implement FDN-reverb in style of Tom Erbe's Erbe-Verb inside Axoloti and i got pretty interesting results: https://clyp.it/vb4bfvw0 https://clyp.it/sh0bo2rl It consumes ~40%CPU and almost whole SRAM so you can't add something else to this — only this reverb patch. So i had to process external source with this (Synth1 VST is sequenced in Renoise being sent to Axoloti and then returns back into Renoise)
