  1. Ok, I'm here. You would do well to check out the Pop Ambient compilations on Kompakt. I wouldn't personally call some of the artists in this thread fluffy or lush, i.e. SOTL or Yann Novak, at least in comparison to Ulf Lohmann or someone like that, but that's just me... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD905Q-y-vA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug7drWGz5Bk https://youtu.be/-2KaJnVs8N4 https://matthewbarlow.bandcamp.com/album/sun-showers https://seguemusic.bandcamp.com/album/blue https://slaapwel.bandcamp.com/album/home https://djolive.bandcamp.com/album/balm https://shiningskullstudio.bandcamp.com/album/conversations-with-myself
  2. I was so gutted to learn of his passing this morning. Been nagging at me all day. His music had a pretty profound effect on me. I put together a tribute mix, which spans his catalog, aside from his house material. A friend of mine is putting that one together. There is definitely more to him beyond his albums for Leaf and Lo Recordings.
  3. This album is everything I wanted it to be.
  4. This is one of the best ambient/electro-acoustic/electronic/whatever albums I've heard in ages. https://sereinlabel.bandcamp.com/album/struktura
  5. Looking forward to this upcoming 7" by The Pattern Forms, new project from Friendly Fires + Jon Brooks. Their library mixes are ace as well. https://soundcloud.com/the-pattern-forms
  6. Ha, yeah I figured it was an aggressive thing. That's cool though. Think I've heard that three times as well.
  7. Indeed. It's a curious mix of things. I'm really into that one recording of the cat making the guttural sounds.
  8. Bump. I guess he still has 24hrs worth of recordings to edit and upload :O. At this point, recordings will loop 3 times at some point in the 12 hour period. Interested to hear it in full form.
  9. I thought about it, haha. There is also Dan Gibson's Solitudes LP series. I guess Environments served as the impetus for that.
  10. http://forum.watmm.com/topic/86960-foundscoundscape-live-radio-collage-of-foundsound-places-to-underscore-your-personal-spaces/ Also I think Annea Lockwood is the only field recordist out there who specializes in river sounds. If you're curious about underwater sounds, check out Jana Winderen's work.
  11. The only problem I've had is if I close my laptop and try to start it again when I open it up. I end up having to refresh the page.
  12. This is a new project from sound artist Janek Schaefer. I'm one of the contributors to this project. For those of you interested in field recording, check it out. http://www.foundsoundscape.com/
