  4. anybody know why its myspace/myslb ?
  5. ok so I just need to specifically call out a few of the albums here i REALLY dig Einoma - Milli Tonkerva: Really deep bassy industrial IDM, very tasty Keef Baker - The Widnes Years: Super IDM'y D&B Kelpe is amazing, its like a halfway between BoC and Ae, seriously get the album Sea inside Body if you know whats good for you Lusine - Serial Hodgepodge is another fantastic album in the same vein as kelpe Meam - The L: Excellent, really gritty industrial sounding IDM again Proem - Negativ: Just the sort of music I was looking for, Very Ae sounding but still have their own twist on IDM Robert Logan: Both Cognessence and Inscape are FANTASTIC IDM albums that very closely resemble latter period Ae (Draft-Quaristice) Xanopticon: The most amazingly intense mix of IDM, Glitch and D&B I've ever encountered, holy shit get The Silver Key EP if you don't have it. I'm still digging through all of the recs here Also to Awepittance: Lying on the floor is fucking ACE man! I'm still digesting it but I will definately be giving you a track-by-track of it when I'm finished. Morphing Song is my fav so far.
  6. those albums are just very difficult. Not bad. Just listen to it with the right mindstate and expect what it is. I would say get really drunk/stoned and listen to it when your burning out so you are in the half asleep sort of state. Like I said with the proper state of mind that Ae/hafler stuff is awesome. 2:30 seconds into AE30, there is distortion with a smoke detector sounding beep going on in the distant background, makes it sound like that's what it would be like to be dying in a fire or something
  7. Well, personally I like it. Drone + Autechre = Good, in my book.

  9. just wanted to note a few recs here that i fucking love so far: Ambulance - Curse of.... Fantastic fuckin album, very experimental and it happens to lie in one of those areas of music that Autechre could potentially have branched to around the LP5 era which is pretty nice. Biosphere - Substrata: HOLY SHIT! I did not know this sort of thing existed. Absolutely fantastic all around and I fucking LOVE the twin peaks samples "The things I tell you will not be wrong" Kelpe blew my motherfucking socks off so props to whoever that was that rec'd them for me OOO is great too, as is brothomstates, Tim Koch, Spooky, Speedy J, Robert Logan, Meam, thanks again for all the music recs and feel free to keep them coming because I honestly have not had enough exposure to IDM type of music and I did not know there was such a vast gold mine of quality shit out there.
  10. I've worked through just about all of these now, thanks so much for all the input ppl why no mention of mu-zig or cylob? Never heard any of their stuff but like is it even half decent?
  11. brownout is seriously one of the most interesting albums i've heard in a looong time. the whole thing is so... underwater or underground or to be even more specific: In one of those underground tributaries.
