  1. lol then you probably are because those guys came around over 15 years ago.
  2. Yeah one thing I can agree with is that Jon Davis' lyrics are that of a whiny crybaby. The guitar work is fucking epic though, not really in terms of technical skill but rather in terms of experimentation. Its funny how my musical taste runs from korn/lb to slipknot to tool, primus, and all the way to autechre and other idm
  3. I am a fan of the man, I just posted that because I had no idea he played in those games
  4. a quick mike patton wiki search turned the following voice acting credits up 2007 - Portal - Voice of the Anger Sphere (Valve Software) 2008 - Left 4 Dead - Infected voices (Valve Software)
  5. Now that someone has said something slightly above bashing numetal I can rest easy. edit: at xxx
  6. I know they are from the 90's I meant they are much heavier than most metal from the 80s and 90s
  7. if Korn is pop, black sabbath is fucking boyband pop. no offense to black sabbath fans I'm just saying Nu-metal like korn, limp bizkit, slipknot etc is considerably more heavy than most 'metal' from the 80s and 90s
  8. / I dont see how you can call that a pop song Braintree edit: I suppose Limp Bizkit song structure is pretty pop-like but they dont sing happy-go-lucky pop type of music, its odd metal/funk/rap fusion. one of my fav korn songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fV8qnKqQOk dont see how thats a pop song either
  9. I honestly don't get how you folks can appreciate good music and not appreciate the level of quality behind these two bands... Its all pretty unique, strangely structured, detailed, and atmospheric. fuck you all
  10. So alot of you probably hate this shit but I'm sure there are some fans here. I used to be obsessed with both of these bands and recently started listening to them again. wheres the love for Korn and the LB?

  12. cool find. dunno why they decided to do such a generic photo shoot tho
  13. wrong. you obviously just don't have an open enough mind to appreciate it
  14. I like this album and the artwork so much I bought it on ebay today. Also Obel if you're missing your music quota lately, check out that thread I made asking for music that's like Autechre in the ae subforum. I swear to god just about every single album in that thread is pure gold!
  15. ^ its even more of a lol because at first it looked like he was quoting boxus' fuck up but upon closer review it was awep who misspelled that first
  16. yeah also check out both LP's by Phoenecia because they make incredibly atmospheric sometimes broodingly dark ambient style music. The first album Brownout is like an underwater river type of sound, really floaty and drifty but still very quirky and everything sounds like its not quite alright, with some really darker more upbeat tracks as well. Also the unreleased Echelon Mall is fantastic if you like Subrange 6-36, the whole thing is incredibly dark morphing ambient shit. Both of these albums are fantastic to listen to while in that half awake/half dreaming state where everything can be visualized very vividly. I'm actually very disappointed that Phoenecia is not mentioned as much as they should be on these boards, particularly in recommendations. In short, get these albums edit: Additional evidence is as follows. See those headphones they're wearing? Guaranteed this album is the music that those men are listening to
  17. my god this echelon mall business IS serious business. I wholeheartedly approve, but I wish there was some album artwork to accompany this
  18. never heard, halfway through downloading and just started listening to the first track now. not bad so far, hope it picks up a tad tho
  19. brownout is fucking phenomenal
  20. I wonder if the Dr. Oetker company is baffled at the recent spike in their sales?
