  1. wii u and mariokart 8 my new gf won some tournaments years ago in battlefield, so shes pretty good at computer games. and i havent played a mariokart since the '64. that could be really fun. i expect it will get heated. she hates losing
  2. guys, i want to play some new games, but i dont have the time to immerse myself for hours. i want a really good casual system for things like platformers & shooters. who shall i go with? xbox/ps/wii? least money outlay as well, im trying to sort out my studio, just needing some relaxing time inbetween shiz. im thinking a second-hand wii? i havent played any of the wii marios or other games yet
  3. it annoys me. why dont dogs clean their teeth. its yukky
  4. start on the e-cigs NOW. they really help me. i have the same procrastination when smoking
  5. yeah i know they are behringer, but the venice is a midas design being made in china - not sure if the newer ones are going to be bad or what. apparently the newer behringer mixers are made a lot better than the older stuff
  6. midas venice F32 i wanted something with sweepable, musical eqs & good preamps firewire channelling into daw mega routable for effects compact -trying to imagine a 32 channel longass desk in a smallish room was a bit much the fact they are a third of what they used to be, new, was just too compelling. i dont know much about consoles and part of me was a bit like 'well, if midas are good enough for Syro'
  7. ive got a mixer turning up soon. damn. actually for the first time im considering making the mixer the middle of the setup and my computer - wait for it. to the side. this is music tings happening, must be
  8. no, actually - i havent used her in a while. but now having got my shit together musically with a decent midi & cv hybrid setup & knowledge i'll do some experimenting trigger from drum machine audio is standard making d&b samples for reeses is standard i know you can do interesting things like turn off the audio triggering via midi, so maybe having a cool pattern doing some scifi beats then creatively toggling these would yield good results. C4 : unblock audio trigger ADSR C#4 : block audio trigger ADSR D4 : unblock audio trigger AR D#4: block audio trigger AR F#4: normal trigger ADSR A#4: normal trigger AR G#4: normal trigger both F4: trigger ADSR with speeded-up (*) attack G4: forced gate-off ADSR with speeded-up (*) release A4: trigger AR with speeded-up (*) attack B4: forced gate-off AR with speeded-up (*) release you can also do filter 1 cutoff via pitchbend, which was very good foresight, so set the second filter to track and make some melodies
  9. cramped space! i feel blessed for managing to get my chair in mine now
  10. its amazeballs if you're the kind of person that likes sticking boring drum beats through things and magic crunch pops out at the other end. but its not just about the distortion, it can get nice & deep with filter 2 tracking filter 1 with the harmonic thing its got mojo. and not too expensive! if you havent heard it already- i like the beginning and the drums at 0:55
  11. No, please do take a photo - I'm on my phone a lot and trying to find your post is impossible
  12. oh, the PCM70 - i got it *mint* for £300. not a scratch on it virtually. its ... dark? a bit murky - compared to something hi-fi like the TC reverbs. ive only been browsing the presets at the moment but it somehow connects or envelopes the sound so i can forget sometimes its there. apparently thats a bit of a lex thing. im new to them it is a bit metallic (so far) compared to the TC m3000 which i can get to be a bit glossy/pearl? but like i said, ive only just scored it and havent even pushed it to any limits - just stuck it on tiled room, rich plate & the other long one to see what all the fuss was about. i really like it! makes things sound good. also makes me realise i really like modern stuff too, and wont ever get rid of the M3000. id defo consider a more hi-fi lexicon, and maybe even a new eclipse, alongside an H-model eventide. i like both styles
  13. some more pics: the knobby synth is a macbeth mk1 modular. i love it so much. it can go acid like caustic window then big and funky and moogy. its well nice! not showing is my samplers (emu ultra, roland DJ70 & akai s1000) which need to get out of boxes, mixing desk which is arriving soon (where its going to go ive got no idea!) the rest the rest of the ear system, and some compression, when ive saved and decided which to buy (EL/Chandler/Kush/Api.. something really nice) its in a residential area tho! arghhhh
  14. ive gone from having a studio next to one of the hartnoll brothers to not being able to make music, to being relegated to an attic room. doh getting back on my feet moving to central london soon so back to searching for a good space. its REALLY important to me to be able to make some noise in peace. the last few weeks i have been uncurling leads and plugging things back in sound restrictions are crap
  15. thats when the real fun happens. like a big rephlex after-party
  16. you mean this? i love that tune at a minute in that sounds like lory d I knew this will pop up (not by Richard but still ) anyway, thanx! Damn. I was hoping it would be one of those moments the records you've been looking for have been available all this time moments
  17. you mean this? i love that tune at a minute in that sounds like lory d
  18. i find the lack of 303 disturbing, oop. there she is
