that is an impressively hideous cover it's so bad it could spawn an entire postmodern microgenre of cover design I completely agree. terrible fonts, terrible title. enjoyable little action-sci-fi romp tho. I did not go into a books store, or even know about the hideousness of the cover until it was too late and my interest was piqued. if it was a book store i would have cried it kinda looks like the designer did it over his morning coffee

just read some sci-fi: Enjoyed it. Makes you feel good about your life without being depressing. Short story, can get through in one sitting. enjoyed it as well. currently reading: Its chinese, and apparently very good. The translation makes it a bit wooden, I dont think ive ever read a chinese translated novel before. things like (if i remember correctly) 'went to the criminal division to find ......' it just sounds weird. and another guy was talking about him becoming a monk to get away, and stayed for 5 years 'down in south china somewhere' <like you would stay 5 years somewhere and not know the name...? im sure it reads perfect in its native language tho story is really really cool so far tho, so im sticking with it.

funnily enough i nailed a certain really good pulse bass on the tal a while ago and havent been able to get it on my real 101 yet well from that vid the sub octave is pretty static and phases and mine does not do that at all. as for the rest i dont know either of them that well really! my 101 is my newest synth ive only made a couple of tracks and 1 finished one with it and also the 101 goes SPOINK!!! really well. not sure if TAL or Lush101 can naill that properly. i will DL both demos and have a fiddle and see what they both sound like

are you talking about at the beginning when he engages the sub? the original doesnt sound phasey like that to me when the sub gets engaged, it makes it sound gnarly. and yeah, it might be that. it was mike dred about the mixer not being right so i know it came from a good source

Heard comments on the 101 along the lines of its ok, but the waveform mixing doesnt sound right. Then spoke to circuitbenders about modding my original 101 to modular levels, and he said that when you tap out the individual waves, especially the sub, the waves sound different before the switch gets engaged. even the switch has an impact on the sound. im guessing it might be hard to replicate

Very cool! I hope you continue experimenting with this idea i joined the kickstarter for that cheap 3D printer. im going to learn to plate them in platinum and put diamonds on them or something a lot of experimenting going on all the time here on everything :)

im actually quite ok when im on my own. unless im looking for birds, then im out.. my other problem is peer pressure/meeting with my mates, who all like a drink. but yeah, same as you. drink leads to smoking, leads to feeling crap, leads to more drinking

usually they are biting my legs the tiny jumping spider i thought had died. he was in my en-suite and motionless for ages so i could easily get the shots off for this one (apart from a tiny band on of non-focus on the abdomen) I have to focus stack at this range. i think the spider was easy 6 or more images. the others probably 4. the spider landscape 1 or 2 thats why its a bit crap but yeah, back to the dead jumpy, and hes not dead hes now making home on my monitor. comes out to say hello (in the heat usually, not when i eat), when im playing some good tunes. i dunno if he likes them or not
