I deleted the m4a from my drive and I'm just listening to older Ae to get in the mood to hear their progression or something. As much as I liked what I heard of it, I hope that the next release(s) of Autechre's after Oversteps are less ambient. Not because I don't dig the ambient stuff, but rather because I prefer the glitchy stuff. Though if they could have both at the same time and make it work as well as Envane, I wouldn't be complaining.

this m4a sounds really cool. one of the songs even sounds like Simmm!

if this m4a isn't Ae, someone out there sounds enough like Autechre that I would love to hear a lot more of their stuff.

Upon second listen, this time on 320k mp3s on a nice stereo, I am loving it even more the second time. I think that when I have the money, I will definitely buy this. If this doesn't become one of my favourite albums of the year, I will be very surprised.

oops, my bad. at any rate this Japanese bonus track has another clear phrase; "sql" like the programming language.. can one use SQL for audio work? classic albums, all.

I liked this and Everything Ecstatic.. the last track on There Is Love in You is absolutely brilliant and probably the best cut on it. IMO, of course. Just as I bought Autechre for the first time this year, I may buy Four Tet for the first time too. Coincidentally, both released what I consider their best works in 2003.

you're lucky that you feel that way about Autechre. in the case of similar BoC cases, one can be hospitalized for it.

I'd be interested to know whether Autechre either as the group, individually or as members of Gescom would ever consider creating a collaborative track/EP/album with a rapper, wherein they combine their trademark style with that of hip hop. Cuz for me, it would kick so much ass if they did that, especially if it was one of those awesome UK grime/garage/dubstep rappers.

not gonna listen to a leak of it, even when/if that happens.. not gonna listen to it 'til I hold my listening party with friends, the weekend of its release. Or, so long as I don't tell the members of the listening party.. I will listen to it as soon as it is delivered. I expect to be blown away, Ae. You've never disappointed me, don't start now.
