Coachella postponed until October.
No way they would postpone Glastonbury until then - lol, October weather in the UK - so I am guessing that will be cancelled at some point. 50th anniversary special too!

Well, now that the topics were merged my comment just looks stupid. Great.
No, it just makes me intrigued about the release a bit more.

The UK has a confirmed death, so the stats are WRONGEdit, nvm, the guy who died was on board the cruise ship so he's counted there

I'm impressed that more than half of watmm actually enjoys their work. I thought that percentage would be much lower.
The ones that "enjoy" their jobs (and have posted such in this thread) will most likely be posting in work time anyway

I can't see what closing schools for 2 weeks will do though... if the virus is still coming into the country after that time then it will just spread at a later date rather than now....
Air travel and borders needs to be closed to stop new infected patients travelling into Italy, THEN you can close schools.

All schools in Italy closing for 2 weeks.
*hoards toilet rolls and rice*
QuoteThe Italian government is to close all schools and universities around the country until mid March because of the coronavirus outbreak, Ansa news agency reports.
Earlier officials reported a jump in cases and deaths from the virus.

Used to be 8-6 Mon-Fri and 8-1 Saturday
But i've crashed and burned over the past few years, with 2 young kids and everything else going on.....
Since the start of this year i've been taking a day off a week to be with my 2 year old son and my wife goes to work. I also work less Saturdays than I used too.
Currently reassessing, applying elsewhere, house is up for sale (pretty close to accepting an offer actually) and I am going to re-train and do something completely different, probably down in Devon.

I'm not sold on this Z-A boxed set. I had the original S1/S2 gold box (sold it) and Ive got the blu rays of S1/S2/Return, so there is no need realllllllllly
Re: The 4.5 hour mega-explanation on youtube, im about halfway through, and everything he says so far makes sense (in his annoying accentual way)
Not sure if I could sit and watch it all in one hit though.

Creating some parameters in sofrware, and handing them out to hardware. pls

Yep, use mine almost daily too. Don't play games very often, but it has the Youtube app and my mate lets me use his Sky login as well
Sometimes I play CDs through it too, as it runs some nice screensavers.
Also plenty of games can be downloaded from the Playstation store - Ive got Mega Bomberman

is it region free? now i'm confused if it's the player or the disc itself that need to be region free...
Yes, PS3's are region free players, they play everything.
DVDs are a bit trickier and can be regional only - but blu rays should be absolutely fine. You can buy a 2nd hand Ps3 with a whole load of games for about £60

First recording of my work with the Volca Drum, which is a pretty damn awesome machine. I have already learned a lot since I recorded this last week, so plenty more to come.
Paired with the Behringer Neutron and the Fabrikat pedal, all clocked together off the Drum. A touch of reverb from Audacity plus fade/in fade/out only.
I know all these recordings are pretty long (so under 10 minutes is good for me this time) but they are straight from hardware jams and I just crop the bits out that I like the best. Not trying to impress anyone other than myself really

Just buy a console. Double the fun!
Yeah, a PS3 is dirt cheap on Ebay.
Also... the 2 guys responsible for the excellent podcast "Twin peaks Unwrapped" have just released a book, and it looks quite interesting. I will order a copy if any get shipped over here to the UK, carriage makes it quite pricey.

If every factory had a one month shut down every year, it could really make a difference to our planets future. And us, as consumers, would get used to it.

Just started watching "The Return" again, binged episodes 1-4 the other night and I REALLY loved it. The awkward bits felt even more awkward, the funny bits made me LOL IRL and the freaky bits still made me feel uneasy. The call back to the first 2 series also hit home in a harder way. Great tv. Cannot wait to carry on watching it.

So the secondary school a few miles from us was shut down today with a suspected CV case. Deep clean and re-open Monday is current plan. A kid came back from family skiing trip in Italy at the weekend....
I used to go to that school when I was a young un.
Its here!

Kinda related but;
A friend of mine flew from UK to Seattle earlier this month for a Microsoft conference. He basically sat in on a bunch of powerpoint presentations and nailed loads of food / drinks on company expenses. I said to him, "couldn't it just be done via webinars, like most other people?" and his reply was yes of course, but Microsoft paid for it.
Pretty sure conferences like this will become a thing of the past if Coronavirus takes hold globally. "Essential travel only" should help curb disease spread, and also really make a difference on CO2 emissions, as pointed out above. Didn't Microsoft declare they would become Carbon Neutral / Negative? Cancelling stuff like this will go a long way to helping.

If you don't declare it, can they actually trace it to you anyway?
