Would be awesome if Warp gave the Kaoss Edge tracks a proper release...could be a "pre-album" release or something
Yeah, it's good to see they're finally back. Warp should show them some respect and give them a deece release.
You'd think they would never get together again after the death of Flow Kranium. RIP.
Ezra could even take some CSS lessons with the money they'd make off the sales !
Also, the "Guitars" vid is awesome, kind of sound like a blend of Replica samples, r+7 voice patch + medieval guitars, it's awesome. Maybe it's the same song as in the flame vid ?

Found on the Konfrontation Records soundcloud :
"OFFICIAL SOUNDCLOUD OF KONFRONTATION RECS, THIS IS OUR RECORD LABEL. HOME TO KAOSS EDGE, ANASTASIA, EZZROJAMS AND MORE".
LOL @ Ezzrojams, would be an awesome follow up to Eccojams !

I think it's a really clever teasing campaign. The videos are getting more and more interesting (IMHO), and the fact that the details on how the album will be released are so blurry is also interesting. Warp seems to be determined to do one massive campaign for that album anyway, and I think they're doing it right. Perhaps they also want OPN to get kind of "mainstream".

G.O.D this is going to suck

Nice interview !! I guess we can expect more Bullet Hell pt 1 material then ? (Loved the guitars on that one !!)
-
returnal and r+7Returnal is still his best so far.
And replica.
-
It worked on the pointnever website, thanks :) the excerpt is quite interesting, maybe it's the "medieval ballad" he spoke about in the interview ?
And regarding the weird release format : definitely possible, and would be awesome ! Also, it's quite unusual to see a big label like Warp making an announcement acknowledging they haven't finished preparing the release of an album !

Link is broken, what was that supposed to be ? You tickled my curiosity !!

I guess Ezra is Lopatin's alter ego, stuck in his puberty (which he mentioned was one of the album's theme ?).
Remind me of the beginning of his Red Bull Lecture thing where he spoke about playing bass in a garage band as a teenager (he also speaks a lot about bass in the "interview"). I think it makes sense.
-
Don't know. I guess it's all made up by Lopatin himself. Ezra, Flow Kranium, and Kaoss Edge both have a twitter account started on august 2nd or 3rd, with similarities between the tweets and the interview (Ezra being an alien with acne, Flow Kranium being dead on cryo etc).what's with the sub nardwuar meets bananafish interview?
It's quite an impressive job on the album's background (or is it just album background ?).

Finally !!!
So confused about that blog thing tho, don't know what's real and what's not. Also the PDF on his site is more than creepy.

I'm pretty sure I'd be happier with Tom's unreleased tunes than I'm with Richs.
And that's something already.

Hopefully Drukqs era.
or saw era
That being said, I can't wait for more information about SAW 1.5 to come out !

Just noticed that the limited edition will feature 2 Dilla tribute tracks. Curious about this, would love to hear some preview of those tracks !
-
That's fun, I was listening to Orbus Terrarum this afternoon...5mn in the first track, sounds really good so far !

Doom gives me motion sickness. The corpses don't...just moving through those closed tunnels.
Claustrophobic environment + weird 3D graphics = obligatory headaches
(I never finished Doom 2 because I was stuck in a kind of labyrinthic level and it really gave me strong migraines !).

Another stunningly accurate article:

So well written.
There are definitely a lot of tracks in the downloaded file that are also on the YouTube playlist, but since they’re both so long and so many of the songs have names like “prncDMC” or “1.5 Dp5 Beats,” it’s hard to tell if they’re exactly the same. Figuring that out sounds like a good job for someone with a ridiculous amount of time on their hands.
They're obvisouly asking for our help here !

Just sayin'...
Nah atypic is pretty close imo. Most of the dump is pre-1996 stuff, with the occassional odd one out. For example, he uploaded T13 / T8 with the noyzelab interview stuff and described it as one of his most recent tracks. Afaik the cottage tracks are Analord-era or later, not sure. The Vibert remix is definitely done somewhere in 2006. I do have my doubts about tigercubdelay.
I'm convinced that 179 brk 2 is made in the Drukqs era. Dead giveaway is 1:52 and onwards. Still not sure about Notting Hill Bus although I guess it's somewhere in the late 90's. Are there more recent-sounding ones?
Shit yeah forgot about the Vibert remix and the Noyzelab. Theory goes out the window. In that case Cheetah3 is a Syro outtake then, amazon :)
(Could well be in for some Drukqs/Tuss/more Syro period in the near future then possibly maybe!)
Cheetah3 reeeally sounds like Syro, but then again, when were the first Syro tracks made ? minipops was played around 2005 iirc, probably recorded before that, so maybe the Cheetah track has been made in the late nineties after all - and, to be honest, that would absolutely blow my mind off

im sort of glad he deleted it then came back
will not take a single track for granted anymore
THIS !!!
Makes everything more enjoyable imo :)

Does anyone know if there is a list of all the tracks RDJ uploaded on SC sorted after the dates when they appeared online?
Also contains comments, tracks descriptions etc.

Saddest news of the day...
Didn't even had the time to properly listen to the latest tracks...and I was hoping for some Drukqs-era tunes :(
-
Just discovering 10 Inthesky. The 4 latest tracks are pure bliss, beautiful Aphexian moments !
Just when I finally stopped listening to the Soundcloud tracks every day all day...

Cornish Spreek5b [st. Nectan S Glen Waterfalls Mix] =
This.
Just saw how much new tracks he posted, wanted to play it while working, but couldn't do shit because I just wanted to listen to this beauty without being disturbed by anything.
Especially love the Acrid Avid Jam Shread percussions at the end of the track
