Go listen to either of those albums and then make an opinion, because hvaing seen video footgae of them live I didn't really think it was a fair reflection on their albums.

I need to go eat right now so I can't explain at length why they are good, but in short, they have very good melodies and vocal harmonies, combined with decent rhythmical parts which are often vocal too. Plus they have quite a prog feel to their songs in their length and arrangements. It's good stuff. Maybe smoke more weed?!

They have a nice production 'sound' too. Very organic.

If I smoke lots of pot and still don't enjoy AC, should I move on to heroin and give it another go? I'll risk addiction if you promise me I'll find great art while drooling on myself.

I'd never heard of them until now. They're pretty irritating judging from this song. I want to punch their vocalist.

almost exactly how i feel. except i would also punch the other dude in the front and then take their fucking headgear off.

Everyone adores their upcoming album Strawberry Jam but there is nothing special about it, seriously. I hate indie rock listeners.

i saw the battles live. it was awesome.

i bought the album. not so awesome, but

still 3 tracks very good to come back to.

something similar with AC.

it's like CocoRosie without vocals but on Synthies, and i like it.

you can't get into everything, btw.

edit: plus - i think warp didnt want to copy AC at all. it's just... art is beyond laptop aesthetics these days. go and see who played the fucking reactable live and how. you can't do that with merzbow.

I prefer Sung Tongs and Feels to their earlier noisy stuff. Admittedly, they do provoke many a wtf? on first listening, but these two albums have really grown on me over the last couple years. As they progress their stuff seems to be becoming much catchier (particularly the awesome Panda Bear album). I think they are one of the few acts that actually have a somewhat original sound within the context of current rock/pop/electronic music.

The new Battles album is great as well- much more melodic than I was expecting...
