Nah, it's just like Ian, but I've heard some weird pronunciations from people who aren't familiar with the name. aye-ayn, that sort of thing... once I even had a substitute teacher who pronounced it like Iron!

ben. actual name is benjamin.

although lately i'm just as used to being called benners as i am ben. it goes alright.

I quite like being an Iain, but it sucks getting confused with Ians. I hate Ians.

 

heh, that just reminds me of the seinfeld moment where elaine+boyfriend bump into an ian (pronounced ean) and elaine continiously calls him ian. lolololols.

Ian for me will forever be associated to High Fidelity (book/movie)

 

Back when I made a bit of music I was always tempted to sample that line about "the sex you are having with Ian" but I always punched myself in the face before I got that far.
