Watching the new'n'nifty Berlin Alexanderplatz set they just released has had me all ga-ga over Criterion again(but really, when am I not, eh?). Anyway, yeah, opening the floor to say whatever you want to say about Criterion, the films they've released, why they're great/suck, etc.

The Days of Heaven release is wonderful.

Their not printing Notorious anymore is a shame, hopefully they'll reissue eventually, seeing as they just did for The Lady Vanishes.

the Criterion edition of robocop wails, i have it but its been indefinatly leased out to my friend.

also the life aquatic with steve zissou Criterion edition was good but the directors commentary was god awful, they sounded like they were in starbucks with the mic across the room! but the extra features ruled!

Probably like this site...wallpapers up the wazoo

Criterion Dungeon

I really liked that Chris Marker set, the extras aren't that thrilling, but yeah, it's just nice to have those films on dvd in really nice transfers.

I just picked up the Breathless Criterion. Haven't really checked the extras yet. The only other film I own from them is Kicking and Screaming, which is great and has nice extras. I don't buy DVD's ever really.

Life Aquatic

The Rules of the Game

i want to get all of them, that'd be sweet.

yeah it was my first...

i believe it's the only release as well, at least for R1... unless you've snagged a bootleg.

They were in the restaurant where they wrote the script.

The new edition of The third man is really great. But I love Contempt and M, probably my two favorites. The leopard is also a great DVD.
