I'm always finding good things that i probably wouldn't bother making a thread for, so i'm making this to add all items i find that r nice.

I found these before. It's a head display that works with the iphone/ipod apparently. These may or may not be shit but it's a start. It was only a matter of time before all this kind of augmented reality stuff happened; obviously you've got those barcode scanner type things on phones and little apps like that so that's another area it's happening in. I like it. Imagine the feel of having your balls felt in hospital and pretending to be unconscious. Doesn't look like they connect to the internet or anything but that won't be long surely.

They are a bit Tom Cruise

I have a Theremin app on my iPhone, does that count?

naturally. Everyone needs their temperature checking every now and then.

finally I can watch rubber johnny while driving without having to crane my head back to see the kids' DVD player in the back seats!

If you're just talking better as in lifelike movement, that's definitely the most lifelike that i've seen. The asimo one and the supermodel one are good but they are a bit more like stereotypical robots when they move; they do more though i suppose, so i guess that's partly why. If you mean better just generally, there's a new asimo that they've given some sort of object recognition to - actually i'll have a quick look

hey about the ipod video glasses, has anyone tried those video glasses/goggles things? they have been available for years and the idea is certainly appealing, but i wonder if they really live up to the marketing.

Fucking amazing. This is exploding atm i've noticed. I can't help but get the feeling that at some point privacy is going to be a thing of the past. I'm not sure how i feel about it yet - have to wait and see what happens. Maybe kids growing up right now are far better equipped to deal with it anyway because of growing up with phones and the net.
