Meeting David Byrne, worth the money I paid and get THIS: he rode his bike to the show. on a Friday night. after midnight. from Brooklyn to the far side of Manhattan. He had a backing band of 20 or so guys playing all these unique instruments. This was at the Greek theater in Berkeley, if you've ever been there it has really steep seating with a grassy hill at the top that gives you almost a bird's-eye vantage point on the stage. For this concert being at the top of the hill allowed you to peer over the speakers to the area backstage where the performers waited to go on. The most "Byrne moment" was when I realized during the opening act that the guy dancing around manically back there by himself was none other than David Byrne.
