haven't heard guero properly really even though i owned it since its release. sod it recently for a tidy profit oddly enough. this song sounds crap. is it illegal to skip? i'm gonna take a shit whilst this is on. and close the door too. fu mcgriff fu beck. its odd to think beck started out with all that sampled shit, then played acosutic guitar folky type shit. then made some funky shit, now pumps out poop by the cd load. with the release of his CD 'the information' he let you choose the tracklisting. i chose no track. he sent me a blank cd. signed the booklet though. dumbass

5. beak - cakes

fucking lolling my ass off. this shit is named after me! love you man *big hugs* the photo of last.fm of you is funny. did you lose weight?

6. nick cave - straight to you

love cave. don't listen enough though. i it too early to get drunk and look at photos of iain C's ginger dick and balls. i have that urge.

great great song.

Homestar Runner

1. Bad Brains - Don't Bother Me: punk at its finest. Bad Brains rock the fuck out!

2. Metric - Live It Out: Hmmmm, I don't like this. Too emo for me.

3. Hansel - Blipverts: Never heard of this. Nice industrial beginning and background music, but the vocals ruin it for me. Too NIN derivative imo.

4. A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras: I have loved this track for a while now. Love the lyrics. Maynard's voice sounds damn fine on this.

5. 2-Track - Agogo: good tech-house track but I don't really like tech-house

someone have at it!

Skytree - Oupine (from Knotwork)

I’m not familiar with this music. I think I ran across this name for the first time this week, though. No idea what to expect. Well it’s definitely mellow, relaxing music…not bad but not all that interesting either. Something that would probably take a few listens to appreciate. I’m detecting a bit of a folk-ish sound in there, maybe a violin or something, combined with drum beats. It feels a little long.

dear god a watmmer that does not remember skytree

edIT - Situps Pullups (from Crying Over Pros for No Reason)

Good stuff, been a fan of this album since about 05. I don't think it's one of my favorite tracks on the album, but it's good.

Casino Versus Japan - Buried (from Hitori + Kaiso 1998-2001)

Haven't heard this track. I downloaded their album Whole Numbers Play the Basics a few years ago but it got lost in a sea of other downloads at the time. I probably only played it once. It eventually got deleted one of the few times I maxed out my hard drive, since I never gave it a chance to grow on me. Pleasant enough track. I definitely like their style it was just a case of having too much music at that time to give the album a proper chance. Maybe I'll grab it again.

Deerhunter - Little Kids (from Unknown Album)

Haven't heard anything but 30-second clips from these guys. The track was kind of shoegazer/indie, mellow and not too significant. Could grow on me though. I've thought of checking out one of their albums but never have. I don't think this was strong enough to motivate me.

Harmonic 33 - Exotica (from Solid Steel Presents The Herbaliser: Herbal Blend)

I don't think I've heard of these guys before (thought it was just a rapper but turns out it's a duo, producer and MC). It was decent, probably works well as part of the Solid Steel mix album. Too short to really leave me with much of an impression though. The rapping didn't impress me, I would have preferred a stronger British accent.

Radiohead - Like Spinning Plates (from Amnesiac)

I'm a fan of the band and the album (I like it as much as Kid A). This track has some interesting sounds but as a Radiohead track, it's pretty much filler. Are the vocals backwards? Cool, not sure I ever really paid attention. Well it feels less like filler now that I realize there are vocals...backwards and forwards. Even if it's filler it's a pretty cool track.

Tura - Bacco (from Subsidence)

Never heard of him. <reads description> oh wait, yes I have, it's Andy Turner from Plaid. I'm only familiar with their solo projects from Plaid's Trainer comp, and honestly don't care for the material on that comp as much as their other stuff. This track I enjoy though. I seems newer, less dated than the stuff on Trainer. The album it's on is a compilation from 2005. I wonder if the track is indeed from around that time. I really do like this, glad I didn't stop after 5 tracks.

Madvillain - Never Go Pop (from Unknown Album)

I know it's a shame but I've known about him for a good decade I think, but never bothered to check out his stuff. I like this track, it nudged me one step closer to exploring.

James - Born of Frustration (from The Best of James)

I know these guys from back in the day, but was only familiar with the singles from the early 90s. I know my girlfriend likes them, but I think she only ever had a couple of their albums. The track's alright, pop/alternative rock...nothing to get too excited about but nothing to complain about either.

AS1 – Daymares (from Unknown Album)

Haven’t heard of him. Acid/electro, reminds me a bit of DMX Krew. Not bad.

Martin Denny – Midnight Cowboy (from Exotic Moog)

Lol. This came on and I wasn’t looking at the page, I immediately thought of several Mike Patton bands. Of course it’s because Faith No More covered the song. Good song, kind of silly on the moog.

Hammock – Stranded Under Endless Sky (from Stranded Under Endless Sky)

Atmospheric post-rock. Never heard of the band, but I do listen to several bands in this genre. That said, this track doesn’t sound any different from the stuff I’ve already heard, and there’s not much to it. The genre’s oversaturated with bands that sound almost exactly the same, this one being on the more ambient end of the spectrum. I prefer the ones that inject a bit more excitement into the music. Luckily this was only 5 minutes.

AFX – Reunion 2 (from Analord 05)

The only Analord stuff I’ve heard is the stuff on the Chosen Lords comp, and this song is part of it. Good track, but I was hoping for one I hadn’t heard, from the vinyls.

Klaus Doldinger – Skyscape (from Constellation)

Haven’t heard of him. Pleasant film score-sounding track. Reminds me of some 70s stuff, cool. I could probably enjoy an album of this if I was in the right mood. It reminds me a bit of some tracks by Camel (probably from their Snow Goose soundtrack) and Pink Floyd. Just a bit, and probably only because I don’t listen to anything like this normally so I connect it with stuff I am familiar with.

Egoless - Echowalk

I like this. kinda a bit organic sounding - but still very electronic. from the description - i thought it was gonna be dubstep but it turned out to be an ambient track. Thoroughly enjoyed though, I shall look this up further.

Proswell - Jupitu

I actually pretty much loved everything released from M3rck but haven't really had the chance to check out Proswell. Nice ambient track - great melodies and love the bell-synths in this song.

Kraftwerk - Tour De France Etape 2

Simply amazing! I haven't heard this album in years! just read that there's a remastered version coming out. I probably should grab a physical copy of this album then :).

The Tuss - Rushup Bank 12

Drives a tank/lives in a bank? Very awesome track of course. Some of the best material from RDJ for a while now.

Burial - Gutted

As with Burial, i do enjoy his atmosphere and sounds used but all his tracks always sound too similar. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing - but I find it hard to listen to an entire Burial album w/o losing interest.

Overall pretty great stuff. I like your taste in electronic music!

Deicide - In the Eyes of God (from Till Death Do us Part)

I never listened to these guys even when I was into metal. And I don't regret it, not a fan of cookie monster vocals. Slayer was probably the hardest stuff I listened to. This is not too enjoyable. 1/5

David Bowie - Oh! You Pretty Things (from Hunky Dory)

Love this song. Kind of funny that this came up when Homestar Runner shuffled my library on the first page. 5/5

Neil Landstrumm - Witches Butter (from Unknown Album)

I’ve never heard of him. A bit wonky, glitch-hop sounding. Not bad but it’s less than 2 minutes long so it doesn’t really give me anything too solid to form an opinion on. I could see myself checking this guy’s stuff out though. Wow, rateyourmusic.com shows he has 8 albums. 3/5

White Rainbow - Mystic Prism (from Unknown Album)

Again someone I don’t recognize. Electronic, kind of spacey, with some bongos. It’s a pretty nice track, perhaps worthy of further investigation. 3/5

Lackluster - Hundredbars (from Cold Trail)

This guy I know. I have a few of his albums but don’t listen to them often. In fact I’ve only played each one a couple of times. This track appears to be from a 2009 EP that I haven’t heard. Seems less mellow than what I’m used to from him. It’s not bad. 3/5

Sutekh - Recession Clouds (from Fell)

The name sounds pretty familiar, but looking at his discography I don’t recognize anything I’ve heard. This track is pretty interesting. Electronic and very abstract, lots of different sounds. It stops abruptly several times then picks up again. Water sounds. Industrial sounds. I dunno, I think I like it. But I wonder what the rest of his stuff sounds like, whether the track is representative of his style or not. I might check out the album. I actually just heard a sound that I’ve heard on a Download album. 3.75/5

Filastine - Bitrate Sneers (from Dirty Bomb)

Another unfamiliar artist. Let’s see…well I like what I hear, and I’m not sure what to say about it. Abstract, kind of heavy, some Bush samples in the beginning that I’ve heard elsewhere. Bit of a crunchy, broken hip-hop vibe. 3.75/5
