coming out early this year !

it looks abit more like mega man 4-6 than 2. the 'running a bit dry on ideas' kind of feel to it. but that's ok, i'm sure playing this will be better than playing one of the originals for the billionth time :)

Yea, Easy Mode is just basically them putting platforms on all the pits so you can't die by falling in a hole. Should make things way easier for the puss....err, I mean, "casual" gamers.

I remember beating the crap out of MM2 when I was little

when I revisited it I can get through the levels ok but I can't beat the bosses

I think MM9 would be too hard for me

doing it in the right order makes all the difference? right weapon will normally take out like a 1/4 of their health with each shot : D

yeah, it was fun as a kid playing the game blindly and getting owned at the end of each boss, playing levels again and again having to work out the order. but now that there are guides i just don't have the patience anymore. i did do it for mega man 9 tho, no guides. just to fully recreate that oldschool kick in the dick experience.

Damn. Never heard about this. And I should actually purchase 9, since I haven't played it yet. I love the art in the article. Just a bunch of stuff that looks cool and has nothing to do with the game.

About difficulty, I used to play through Mega Man X4 and make it to the last boss without using any of the upgrades.

haha i cna cruise through mega man 9 (the wily stages are a bit of a bitch). this game must have an easy setting, not because of mega man 9, but because it's even HARDER (i think).

i always thought it was weird mega man 9 was in widescreen on wii while 4:3 on ps3.

i go into wii settings and change the screen settings to Widescreen (despite playing on a crappy 4:3 crt tv). its made everything squashed and horrid, but now mega man 9 and 10 are the correct aspect ratio. it's a little annoying that it doesn't fill up the whole screen tho, and REALLY annoying i'm gonna have to go into the wii settings and change the aspect ratio every fucken time i play mega man.

loved and cruised through megaman 1-3 on the nes back in the day.. i got megaman 9 and almost put my controller through the tv because it was soo fucking hard

How can you beat Mega Man 1? I basically always quit trying after I get killed over and over by the yellow monster who splits up into parts that fly back and forth.

i'm going to play mm10 on hard this weekend. i've beaten it on normal 3 times already, and i think i'm starting to memorize the game a bit. i started playing with proto man, but i probably won't finish because it's stupid that he dies after getting hit 3 or 4 times..

Looking forward to getting this tomorrow on PSN (and finally going and beating MM9 now that I have a proper joystick to play with - I never could play platformers with pads for some reason).

Mega Man 1 *was* the hardest in the series until MM 9 came out... The trick to beating the Yellow Devil on Wiley 2 is pure pattern recognition, and using Elecman's weapon (there's a glitch on the NES version where you can pause/unpause as the bolt goes through the eye and will register multiple hits instead of just one).

there's a boss near the end of mm10 called block devil that is a bit tricky. he's not overly hard, but i can't learn his pattern to save my life. i just get hit by the blocks and then use an e-tank if i have to...

i still think mm1 is the hardest.. i still have difficulty with it to this day, whereas i can beat mm9 with no problem at all..
