being bored and drowning. i'm not afraid of death besides drowning; moreso the effect it would have on other people who depend on me if i died.

Yeah that and having a really painful drawn-out death. I heard suffocation is the way to go. Like some sort of carbon dioxide chamber.

Isn't that just the opposite of the course usually proscribed toward wisdom? Buddhism is replete with death-centric thinking, but it's not viewed as a negator of life but the source of its mystery.
