Need some help here Remembering a damn movie title

I really really need to find this, so I'm just going to dump what I remember about it (i cannot remember the title at all):

Plot points roughly summarized (may not seem to go together very well - but that was kind of how the film was):

* The film starts with a cop and his partner investigating a homicide out in the woods. Stuff happens that I don't remember and one of the cops ends up with an Air Force pilot at a military base being pursued by MiBs. The cop dies and the AFP becomes the protagonist (after a fashion).

* Computer virus takes over the pentagon (or military base, whatever) and either threatens to start launching nukes or actually does it (don't remember). Somehow this computer virus can also be uploaded to human brains. It also starts taking over helicopters and trucks and stuff and these become the primary obstacles for the protagonist (later I think we see brainwashed people trying to get into an airport control tower).

* There is an interrogation/brainwashing scene with MiBs -- I remember the sunglasses they were wearing being very funny for some reason, like big massive Ray-Bans.

* When people fire at each other in this move, the actors actually push the gun forward like you did when you were a kid. I could even make out their lips moving in some cases -- there are no muzzle flashes except for scenes where they fire Uzis.

* There is a scene where a govt. agent guns down a bunch of scientists for no reason in the hallway of said military base (assuming they've been infected with the computer virus). The film shows some unknown guy doing it but later the protagonist is arguing with a completely different guy about a "coverup". I swear to god this shooting has been used as stock footage in a handful of crappy action films.

* Eventually the computer virus/AI starts taking apart tanks, airplanes, etc and uses the raw material to create a kind of robotic godzilla thing. It gives a VERY AWESOME speech that goes on for like 3 minutes (basically the reason I want to find this fucking piece of shit is to get this voice -- it's so bad and yet very creepy). The effects look like shoddy stop motion animation of a Transformers toy with guns and shit glued to it. Also hilarious scenes of tanks being melted down.

Seemed to be late 80s/early 90s, but all the cars seemed like they were from the early 70s so I really have no clue on the time period. I think there might have been an Apple II in it.

I saw this years ago... it was a VHS that I think I got at GoodWill. I remember there being no label on the tape.

I'm at work now so I can't post this where I really want to yet... but if you are a CG member and you find this movie for me I will reward you handsomely.

I remember posting about this on Watmm but it may have been in a previous iteration of the Matrix so it's not showing up in a search. Can't find it on archive.org either. IF anyone happened to archive the forum I used to go by: thesuperbowlisgay, The Worm, and then finally my current plum name.

My cousin has described to me multiple times a completely weird film (?) -thing he's seen some time in the early-mid 90's. Just thought of it cause the beginning sounded similar, although it most definitely is not Top Gun.

It was shot in the style of COPS, somewhat. It's night time in autumn, police receive a distress call from someone who is supposedly been trapped/attacked by someone in some old house in the woods. While driving to the location, someone talks about how he knows the house, says that it's been abandoned for some time, local people say it's cursed or something. Then they arrive and go inside, they look for the person who called but apparently there's no one to be seen there, until eventually they go down into the basement and suddenly stop at some point, the last thing the camera picks up is that there is snow falling, in the basement. :fear:

This was years before The Blair Witch Project. I've always been interested in seeing whatever the hell he saw there. He said it was creepy as fuck.

Lol, I just spent 20 minutes writing this post about a movie I've been looking for a very long time...and while typing in the stuff by which one of you might recognize it, it just popped into my head. It was Sneakers (1992). I'm rather disappointed now because it looks like a shitty movie.

Damn child memories...

fuck that's it cheers! and thanks Great Maker ShaiHulud sorry

No problem. I don't really have enough info to make a positive id or really even point people in the right direction... in the past I've checked film archives, talked to librarians at a couple of universities and I even spend several hours scouring through every single title in one of those pirate DVD markes in Gongbei port earlier this year.

It's been a cool experience and I've found tons of other great bad scifi films but this is getting to be my holy grail.

if it is, then my cousin was a tad far out with his description. Where's the COPS first person camera and all that? I gotta ask him, but I kinda hope that's not the one.

yeah, it's Mike from Blair Witch, which still happens to be my favorite film for some reason. I really like his expression of fear there, and apparently it's not all acting either. The script that was given to them was like four pages or something, and they had no idea what was going to happen at night, or what these noises were. So I'm guessing he was seriously afraid of being frightened to death by someone in a horror mask or something.

^ This year I finally made my own version of the film as my Halloween-project (made a few threads about it before, asking for music, sound-advice and stuff), I made teams of three-four people, equipped them with a night vision camera and sent them out into the "woods" with the task to "find and capture the missing child on tape" - that newspaper article was the only clue they had. It was set in this fictional abandoned nature-reserve-park-thing, we built parts of the park, including the natural history museum with an indoor-forest made from old Christmas trees, a stuffed badger and shit, I also had a tent set up outside, hidden speakers etc - someone started crying ... happy:

I think the blair witch like movie you're talking about is the last broadcast. I haven't seen it though, so I don't know about any basement snowfall.
