Hi girls and guys,

I haven't posted for some time, so I thought I'd let you hear something new. Though not strictly brand new, I believe this is one of my best efforts, so enjoy. Looking forward to reading your valued opinions, as always!

I like it. The beat creates a very good atmosphere. Ow, the guitar just came in as I'm writing ; I'm not so fond of it. But yeah I like the overall and the mood of it

Thanks Antape, for your constructive and nice comment. I can understand your opinion about the guitar. It's quite interesting.

This is a fascinating phenomenon: I ask myself why it is that most/the majority of electronic people (I've read similar comments regarding the use of guitars on a variety of different message boards!) don't like the sound of the "traditional" electric guitar. There seems to be a common thread there - is it because it's associated with cheesy rock tones? Or with showing off? I always found the combination of natural/real instruments and electronic sources of sound quite a good match, if done right.

Thanks again for chiming in!

Yes I think that I somewhat associate that kind of sound with cheesy rock tones. But I actually also listen to rock music so the fact you implemented a guitar is totally ok for me (one track of my soundcloud actually has a lot of guitars ; the irony is I think they're a bit cheesy too in some way lol).

That said it doesn't bothers me that much as I'm listening to it again. Not my favourite type of guitar sound but that doesn't prevent me to enjoy the track

like the idm'ness of the beat :) , nice filtered drum sounds and mood. Maybe you can process the ending guitar sounds some more other then using delay, making it more obscure and harder to recognize?

Thanks Jonas; particularly for the statement about the guitar. This is exactly what I've been meaning in a previous post when I said that many electronic musicians seem to loathe electric guitar tones - and I see exactly why that should be so, owed to the fact that the electric guitar has had a long history of cheese :-)

In addition, the sound really is not very refined here - probably just Guitar Rig, which sounds OK but never makes for a lot of character.
