  1. the original spiderwoman always looked a little like a wonder woman knockoff. maybe they should keep that theme going http://youtu.be/F91AoQ1wuyc
  2. random rap beef gets realer than mos http://youtu.be/VbQuAHS_3lA story
  3. you forgot a couple more beefs: dame dash vs lyor cohen and todd moscowitz also dubbed the ceo wars. 40 glocc vs the game tyga vs lil durk: also dubbed the chiraq beef oh, and i suppose drake vs macklemore none of these beefs though have produced anything memorable like a hot track or a random shooting, so overall, pretty disappointing. the biebs beef with orlando bloom has more action than rap battles nowadays
  4. this film felt like it was 5 hours. 5 hours of watching medium close shots of philip seymour hoffman smoking and drinking whiskey. a few minutes of random islamic dissent dude acting dodgy and super hot dame rachel mcadams going out of her way to help the dodgy guy, then another few minutes of willem dafoe putting on the worst impression of a german banker EVER. there are some other people in the film but the only time they matter is when hoffman is huffing at them betwix sips of whiskey or puffs of smoke.
  5. two tornados, full of sharks, are headed straight to new york city from different directions and predicted to merge at 42nd street (of course) causing a shark storm of biblical proportions. ian ziering, vivica fox and tara reid get chainsaws and bombs to kill the sharks. sugar ray, some other kid (who is supposed to be his son), a random dame and miley cyrus' dad and a shit ton of random semi-famous people watch in awe. this just became syfy's "most watched" original movie
  6. +1 i kinda enjoy season 2 a little more than season 1 (maybe coz i watched season 1 so much and know what the conclusion is whereas season 2 is straight up- black lodge weirdness in full effect)
  7. orange county fair: costa mesa california 07/26/14
  8. i really wanted to like this because it seemed like "a mad men interpretation of the manhattan project"- but it's boring as hell. first of all, it would have been REALLY FUCKING HELPFUL if they established who each of these characters are. instead, they're talking about people like oppenheimer like he's some mythical figure who jumps comes around every once in a blue moon to approve mathematical calculations- and where the fook is feynman? or von neumann? i went into this show looking out for these guys as i think it would've been incredibly fun/interesting/exciting to write such genius characters but nothing.... just boring guys walking around threatening to come up with brilliant math calculations while instead spending the entire time gossiping like 3rd grade girls about each others careers and questioning who sucked whose dick to get to los alamos
  9. how does luc besson keep convincing studios he has an original idea when he keeps writing different versions of la femme nikita? either he changes her skin color (colombiana), writes her back story (leon), re-writes her back story (wasabi), does a tv show (nikita) or makes her an element (the fifth element). this time, he came up with the original idea of making her use 100% of her brain. unfortunately, he didn't do the same
  10. i didn't know where to put this but i love this article i know there are states and countries where driving whilst making a phone call is banned, but in los angeles, this isn't the case (or it's not enforced at all) and i can honestly say i've seen not only an increase in minor accidents (people running into another car, making a turn at the wrong time etc.) because someone was on the phone, but i think it contributes to the already terrible traffic (which btw, is really from bad drivers). i think for most people bad driving means they drive terribly right? in los angeles, bad driving means they drive too slow. so many people here cruise looking for something to do/see or someone to see/hopefully run into etc. or they're simply exploring so they never drive with a destination in mind. add to this the people updating their facebook and twitter whilst driving and you suddenly create more traffic with people driving super slow- going nowhere, missing lights, running into each other or riding your ass. there is another syndrome which i have diagnosed as "sitting in the car" syndrome. whereas this would be considered "loitering" or "suspect behavior" in los angeles (perhaps because there is a huge car culture) it's actually normal to see a bunch of people parked and just sitting in their cars for hours (i'm talking 4-8hrs) dodding on their phones or just staring
  11. have you watched the real housewives of south boston? http://youtu.be/SQoTlVgmPK8
  12. michael pitt is meets some french argentine chick at a party, takes pictures of her eyes, bangs her then loses her, then finds her again coz of "dem eyes". then something happens and he finds out there is another chick in india that has the same eyes. kinda silly but it sorta works- in a sci-fi kinda way. except this isn't sci-fi so this ends up being a better script than film
  13. "the modem was invented, listening to wu-tang" rza hilarious considering the internet started out in the 60s but really came around in the mid 70s BEFORE wu-tang was around but... http://youtu.be/LK2oHpQdJh4
  14. wow. this was terrible. couldn't even really get into it because of how annoying EVERYONE is. it's like a tv show version of gravity with bits of moon for the flashback sequences mixed in with ai and terra nova (for the technology and unbelievable characters). oh and the mystery, isn't even interesting.
  15. what show was that? because there was an incident where that happened in real life
  16. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/324283889/potato-salad keep it simple
  17. they don't have to. they're banking on the fact that you will recognize and be captured by a familiar title then expect newer cgi and an updated, faster and much louder soundtrack to sell you on the idea. they're not looking for win you over. they don't care or know how to anyway. they just need your money
