  1. Healthy life and love is everything you ever need brm ghah get lucky brm zhvikh get lucky
  2. http://www.factmag.com/2013/04/13/daft-punk-talk-skrillex-edm-r-a-m-and-more-will-appear-on-the-next-kanye-west-album/ From what's written here, Chris Cunningham is doing video for Kanye track with Daft Punk instrumental.
  3. Sarcasm got his wish. hmm yeh when was that pharrell dude ever relevant.. let alone have an addition as a vocalist? (apart from sales..) although it is out of context and in low quality..a meh from me towards that coachella thing pharrel and the neptunes were very influential for a while, even tagged as geniuses. then they realized they really liked money and being celebs. That's true, here's proof of relevancy at 1:15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxNkWz2odrY Though I must say that Pharrell dude had done pretty impressive pop stuff like Señorita for Justin Timberlake.
  4. Funnily he's the guy from records of whom Burial learnt his vocal chops, if I'm not mistaken. The chops that, needless to say, overruled the popular electronic music world. Edwards sounds like a bum in a limousine compared to Moroder and Rodgers.
  5. All this talk about Daft Punk making chicago house popular reminds of early 90s Baby Ford http://youtu.be/EgE0oDraYSQ in just some years this super-cheesy hippie guy with a fake guitar playing makes stuff like this: http://youtu.be/PK6behvuPOg There's always a choice which route you take.
  6. Daft Punk samples in everything. Track named this way was on compilation French Disco by Cassius http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eao6UmBW_DA
  7. Like someone on RA page mentioned, it's kind of continuation of his The Stereonerds' HD Endless 2003 LP (as one may suggest by titles, there was even a track named Harddisc Rock - initial name of the new album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xifC4XEGlNE
  8. Pretty sure I heard in one of their interviews that Sean is fond of Japanese home cooking (as am I). I interpreted the title bladelores in more of a literal sense - like a legend of knights in the forest or something. I always thought of it as childish b-boy anagram for rollerblades, nah? Sorry if there's a ton of photoshop on the theme out there.
  9. I agree. interesting how they choose what needs to be done in album-format.
  10. Fuck that guy. Confield is better than all musique concrete ever existed. Anyway it's absurd to call out Ae by still praising that lab's stuff, the creator of which, Pierre Schaeffer, publicly said near death that he wasted his whole life searching for anything outside the seven notes. There's nothing there, he said. It was one of the most powerful existential statements of the century in music.
  11. another ill-conceived Ae opinion brought to you by Lianne, quelle surprise. I love this album but think she has made a fair point. I mean wasnt 1 of them quoted as saying that Confield was like pop music compared to what they could have put out? Which sounds strange when you think esp the last 3 albums have been quite a bit more "pop" for want of a better a word (tho the quote sounds like the kinda shit people say for the sake of it in interviews so might just be bollocks, infact sounds like something afx would say!) But yeah the last 3 albums seem more like they are having fun and just doing what they enjoy and it sounds wicked, But wonder if they will ever do another game changer type album when even the hardcore fans are like what the fuck is all this about! Do people even think such a thing is possible? Anyhow they have pushed enough boundries in the past anyway and its not all about doing something really new and different and for the record I think Exai is going to be in my top Autechre albums & possible my fav, but stil early days to tell I do believe in that quote, after all Gantz Graf was released straight after Confield, but that doesn't mean more methodically edgy stuff would sound more challenging. Do Hafler Trio collabs sound less pop, for example? I think so, though it's nothing groundbreaking because of its dull form. Actually if you want radical new ideas go listen to some Salvatore Sciarrino or Horatiu Radulescu (just to namedrop) stuff from when there was no Ae in project. Ae was always about pop (hip hop, electro, techno etc) sensibility.
  12. I can agree with that for sure. I just meant that a certain degree of the challenge does seem to diminish as you get used to the artist or the genre and it's conventions. There is also an inverted situation on the artist's part - you can't go on pushing limits forever. What Autechre have done is already grandiose. Now it's time for something completely different in terms of evolution.
  13. Autechre was a challenge even for experienced listener, even for the fans of previous album. It changed only with Quaristice. The thing isn't about complexity, though, but certain ideas of what is music. On Exai we are still on familiar ground, but worked out different than before.
  14. Regarding solo track by Rob it was pure speculation. There is a certain vision of what's Sean could do best and what Rob. Like first Exai track very well could be Sean solo and second track could be Rob's solo. T ess xi actually contains slightly modified beats from Ts1a, though. Don't get the hate towards second part of recks on at all. Definitely one of the highlights.
  15. So T ess xi isn't referencing r ess but Ts1a track for ICASEA compilation.
  16. Funnily i regard bladelores as worst track yet. Not that it's in any way not good track.
  17. This. I've just finished downloading (1.8 GB!) but I have to collect my stuff from the laundrette in 40 minutes. Although I know that I will listen to it soon. And then want to listen to it again. Either way, I'll be there. 50 kb/s (my current speed) = 10 hours. This is intelligent rape.
  18. Patiently awaiting bleep gentlemens to release this much release. Not gonna throw my pennies around cocksuckers at apple today.
  19. I'm totally not on the cheesy Ae bandwagon, tolerated Oversteps for this reason, but jatevee C sounds like pure gold to me. Someone name-dropped SND, i guess it's the same sort of re-contextualisation.
  20. You're clearly underestimating numerological detail of Ae releases. Release dates, catalogue numbers, album titles etc, there's always some over-the-head bullshit going on. Ae fooling around or doing their Kaballah routine.
  21. Yeah totally, you're all so tough and old-school, i wonder is there even a way to fuck ya'll in the ass for a young chap.
  22. Thank you for your kind instructions, human. We're not programmed this way naturally, but we would give it a try somewhere on our schedule. *boop* *beep*
