    GCC is installed. Running build.sh gives the following error: My last attempt at following the earlier mentioned kernel module rebuilding guide went ok-ish in that the compiler built/compiled all the drivers mentioned in the .config file that was copied from /lib/modules/uname and a midex8 directory was also created but nothing appeared in the directory. I also don't understand this step in the building guide: What is the patch to driver? Or is this a typo and is it supposed to be "path to driver"?

    I installed all the required dependencies and it seems like all the other drivers were built correctly, I think something is missing in the config file but I can't really figure out what. Running build.sh failed a bunch but I haven't tried this after getting to the one to last step in the instructions. I'll report back later. Thanks!

    You have to understand I'm just an idiot trying to follow some instructions on something that is basically mostly hocus-pocus to me. I understand a few basic concepts and am able to apply some heuristic approach to troubleshooting etc. but that's it. Thanks for offering insights, much appreciated.     Yes, I’m trying to build a module for an old midi interface that I’m hoping to use with an old raspberry pi as a midi usb host. The GitHub page hosting the scripts to build the module refers to this guide; https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/KernelModuleRebuild I’ve made several attempts now and the last time I felt things almost clicked in my brain and got to the last step but obvs made another mistake which caused all modules in some dependency I installed to be built. It took ages but I was hoping it would also magically build the midex module but that got skipped while all the other directories got populated with their respective drivers/modules.

    Yeah, that doesn't work. There was no config to begin with, now there is but apparently I need to install header files which I can't get to using apt-get.

    Trying to build a kernel module for my raspberry pi so it can use this old steinberg midex interface. I have no fucking clue what I'm doing and I'm pretty sure that even if I get it to work after copy/pasting commands into the terminal I will have learned nothing and won't be able to replicate it.

    I'm glad to help, even/especially when it's no use ? Fair point regarding overdub. Like you say; have you tried toggling the back to arrangement switch? That's fucked me a couple of times.

    Perhaps related to the overdub setting? I mostly only record audio anymore with live. Not for this reason but memory is a bit fuzzy

    I remember having similar issues in the past. IIRC it had something to do with some automation data not being deleted correctly. Was a very frustrating process. Try toggling the automation data as well, might fix it.

    Yeah, I think the government put way too much trust in the ability of people to self regulate. Typical vvd stance imho. Should have been stricter from the beginning. Also take issue with the huge list of shops that are exempt from the measures. They should have closed everything except for pharmacies and supermarkets. You can buy petfood at a supermarket. I’m not anti gov. I sympathise with Mark but he needs to stop being half assed and stop worrying about draagvlak. edit: Not gonna delete my posts but I regret the tone and sentiment and general short sightedness. I’m really stressed about losing my income and feel frustrated about the whole situation. But clearly there is only one right thing to do and that’s to comply with the new measures. I’ll be reporting my employer tomorrow. Feels weird, even though he’s a cunt. But then again so am I.

    Full lockdown in NL in effect. All shops closed. Except for essential ones. Essential shops are; supermarkets, any shops that have parcel pickup, shops that sell pet food and such, chocolate shops, action (sorta like Walmart I guess), zeeman (cheap clothing shop, it’s essential because they sell kids and winter clothes), hardware/diy shops (pickup only tho), and optometrist/opticians (need to be able to get a new pair of glasses). Oh, and guitar shops. As well as places that sell Christmas trees and such (as long as it’s outside) and outdoor foodmarkets. And I guess the place I work at is still open too, but I expecting to be shut down by the cops today or tomorrow. Sporting venues closed. Except the ones that are outside and kids can still train as teams. It’s a total fucking mess and very difficult to take my government seriously anymore tbh. Also find it unfathomable that instead of the public health spokespeople there aren’t more heads of ic etc appealing to the public. Our head of public health is a total idiot that thought it wise to share his doubts on the effects of facemasks after the government asked everyone to please wear one. It’s like I’m eating crazy pills. I mean. I am, but they normally don’t have this effect.

    There’s a belkin adapter that breaks out to a lightning port plus a minijack port so you can charge and play music simultaneously.

    Where I live cans are separated from the trash by a large magnet. Only paper, plastic and glass are collected separately.

    Pixel > Dropbox > laptop? or record the pixel’s screen with the webcam that’s built into your laptop screen. Or if you have a scanner go through the video frame by frame, scanning each one and then reanimate them.

    Was giving the old porcelain throne a right old brushing when my right hand decided to try out a power move that made the toilet brush frantically spin around its axis, fanning out a mix of toilet duck and fecal water. Not a single drop in my mouth or even on my face. Good day, today.

    Not sure I can be of much help, I read 1,5 Pema Chodron books (which I liked, her tone/way of writing appeals to me) and have a headspace sub for the guided meditation. Gurus and such generally get in the way of the message for me because I tend to find them annoying.
