  1. I fixed a screen flickering issue on my 55-inch Samsung TV monitor. All I had to do was unscrew the back cover, snip a jumper wire to the top left of the power supply intake, and screw the cover back on.
  2. Fuck all modern Republicans. Every last one. All they can do is scoff at, troll, and tease people who are different from them because their daddy Donnie encourages them to so. They're morally and intellectually bankrupt. When it comes to any real progress or contribution to the world, they're fucking useless.
  3. We have running potable water for the restrooms, but I don't drink it because of the strong pipe taste. Pretty sure our building was constructed in the 1940s. From what I understand, workplaces are legally obligated to provide clean, running potable water, but not necessarily bottled water or cooled dispensers. At least in the US. I just bought a Brita water pitcher with a built-in filtration system, but looks like I already cracked the front of it from transporting it home in the trunk of my car (oops). I managed to mend it with duct tape, and the filtered tap water tastes like most bottled water I've had. So it still works.
  4. In the meantime, make sure yo ass gets out and votes in the midterms in four months
  5. Is it just me or is it trendy for games to have crappy endings these days
  6. Same dude who made that Thomas cannon I posted yesterday
  7. they started charging 5p for plastic bags here and people actually feel like they are being robbed and plastic bag use is down 75 percent. i buy a bag every time and then just bin it. fuck the world. seriously though they need to start selling water in some other form than plastic bottles. i drink 2-3 litres a day, sometimes tap water, but often i need it out and about, and there is no other way to buy a litre of water than in a plastic bottle. And during this time of year hydration is a must. I wonder if anyone has invented a self-cooling reuseable bottle yet. I already have an aluminum canteen I take with me to the gym. But a single liter usually isn't enough for the whole work day afterwords. And we no longer get drinking water service at my work. Apparently there are pitchers that have built-in filters though. Might look into buying one to fill with tap water.
  8. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/396078-92-year-old-man-attacked-with-brick-told-to-go-back-to-your https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2018/07/06/man-92-attacked-brick/ I'm surprised by the attacker's...appearance. Either way, just one more example of how increasingly irrational we've become as a country. Times like these make me question whether Earth's sustenance as a habitable planet is really in humanity's best interest.
  9. I probably use too much plastic and am probably contributing to Earth's plastic pollution problem as a result. Guess I could start to make amends by opting for reusable grocery bags and filtered tapwater instead of bottled.
  10. Word. I might do the same after I finish my current Prey (2017) playthrough. Still feel weird about the Fallout franchise taking the multiplayer route, but I should probably keep an open mind about it. I have a feeling FO76 is gonna be similar to Fortnite's STW mode. Would you recommend RE7? It looks somewhat intriguing, but I feel like I'd get super claustrophobic, judging from the gameplay footage I've seen.
  11. What was it like? I've never been to those distant parts of murica From what I can remember, it was beautiful landscape, loads of restaurants in the city, but MT itself is largely rural (get it, MT, haha) And I think posted highway speed limits were 80 or 85 MPH. We actually moved to south NJ from Great Falls back in '93. Needless to say it was a big change, because the urbanization was much more concentrated the further east you go. Plus way more Italian food. flol flol floatling floller
  12. I lived in Great Falls once...back when I was too young to know anything about politics
  13. Starbucks are basically the McDonalds of coffee innit
  14. You have to go somewhere to pay that? Pffffft... hahaha! I pay my monthly condo fees and electric bills via web, pay my phone bills in person, and my gas bills via mailed check. I like variety.
  15. Went to go pay my phone/internet bill after work today, but found out that the wireless store got rid of the payment kiosk. So the standard queue is the only way now. I got tired of waiting after 5 min or so and left. I mean, why go backwards in technology? Fucknuggets.
  16. Still playing Prey, this time on New Game + mode. Still haven't installed a single Typhon ability, and since all my non-Typhon abilities and weapons are maxed out, I just toss every Neuromod and Weapon Repair Kit I accumulate into the Recycler. lol TBH I wish we had this Recycler technology IRL. It would be nice to break down any trash in the world we come across into their base components on the fly and then make something new and useful out of them in an advanced 3D printer in seconds with the push of a button. Really, how cool would that be? Also recently got into the mobile game Space Pioneer. Good graphics, good music, good gameplay. Really no complaints.
  17. As an American, I approve of the city of London's decision. If Donnie wants to be a shithead towards anyone who isn't rich, a dictator, or a white supremacist, then I don't see how he can expect respect in return. As far as I'm concerned, reap what you sow.
  18. Monkeys throwing shit everywhere - the Trump administration in a nutshell Fuck the army if this is true. They wanna kick out immigrants who play by the book, work their asses off and put their lives on the line. But they have no qualms about taking it in the butt from fuckboi Donnie and recruiting KKK and neo-Nazi degenerates that fuck their cousins and ungulates.
