That "Fox in Space" Episode 1 or whatever is legit. If Nintendo decide to take legal action they'll make asses of themselves. Anyway I finally got around to giving Dark Souls a try. I barely left that first dungeon with the undead and I ran into some big demon less than ten minutes in and got my ass whooped. Plus the awkward camera angles just don't feel natural. I dunno. Just not feeling it, despite all the hype it's gotten. Then again I've always preferred games with a sci-fi setting.

Damn, that sucks Braintree. Yeah I hope a chiropractor would be able to help. I know what it feels like, though I've never been involved in that kind of collision. Dumb fwip time again. I like my new condo, but my neighbors are a family of five of whom the three kids are noisy as fuck. The parents appear to be about my age, and they seem like nice folks. But why they let their kids stomp back and forth yelling in the hallway for half an hour straight every other day is beyond my understanding of what it means to be civilized. And I often hear them crying on top of that. Pretty sure they're the noisiest tenants in the whole building. Hope they find another place soon.

Ate some sliced English cucumber, kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts with homemade hummus over pita for lunch. As far as the hummus goes, the flavor was on point, but it came out too runny in texture. I think I was supposed to use the chunky bits of the tahini rather than the liquid. Oh well, should make for a good salad dressing at least.

I've still got my Game Boy Micro from 2005 but I can't find my copy of Zero Mission. It's basically the original NES Metroid remastered. I'd love to play it again some time, even if that means ordering another copy. Just watched Bethesda's Twitch channel on single-player campaign coverage for the upcoming Doom. Pretty sure it was enough to convince me where my next sixty bucks will go.

At first I thought someone who talks flak about your favorite artist would be a deal breaker for friendship too, but at the same time I'm pretty sure it's nothing personal. Then again the artists I hold in closest regard I generally don't even bring up unless that person already happens to be familiar with them. Dumb FWP time. The address bar in Firefox on my computer got reset, and I have no idea how or why.

I see Dark Souls and Bloodborne have very strong appeal in this thread. And I've yet to play any of them. And I'm hearing more about it IRL too. I used to be reluctant, but I should start keeping a more open mind. I think I'll start from the first DS and work my way chronologically though. Guess my change in heart partly comes from completing Hyper Light Drifter a few days ago, which I hear draws heavy DS influence combat-wise.

Got a three-seat sofa for only $30. Had a buddy from work help me carry it up to the new condo. I should spend more time at thrift shops. You never know what you might find.

Have you tried the v20b Starter Pack maps? Sergeant Mark IV released like 32 new maps on New Year's. Maps 10-20 (I think), the ones that take place on Earth are about as good as Doom maps get. Been wondering about this myself. I'm still tempted to buy the full game, but I'm worried it'll be poorly received.

I have BL2 as well, but only on PC : / I finally beat Hyper Light Drifter just now. Started the game feeling like a wimp, and ended the game feeling like a badass. Not sure yet exactly when it's coming to consoles, but if you love the Metroid, Legend of Zelda, and Dark Souls games, it's right up your alley. Last I heard was "Summer 2016" console release.

Are you fuckin kidding me? Hardcore Henry was best action flick I've seen in ages! It takes a huge rainbow-colored piss on every cookie-cutter Marvel, Fast & Furious, and Michael Bay movie ever made. I literally walked out of the theater tonight with a grin on my face. Hardcore Henry = badass/10

Cheers Spiral :) Being a homeowner comes with more responsibilities and bills to pay but also more freedom, as I'm finding out. Def worth it overall. where?? A condominium in east Anchorage. So I haven't left the Far North yet, but that's still the plan in another four years or so. Kinda depends on how these new digs work out.

SS2 is one of those games I keep meaning to play but never get round to it. What OS is your laptop running? I tried before on 7 and kept hitting game crashes. I'm on Windows 10 and it works like a charm so far. Don't expect much graphically. It's more the sounddesign that I'm interested in. It's spooky as fook. SShock 2 is one of those "bucket list" games. I haven't played it in a good while, but if you haven't yet it's well worth it. Also Night Dive Studios are working on a reboot of the original System Shock. (http://www.polygon.com/2015/11/25/9801434/system-shock-remake-first-look-art) Finally beat my first boss in Hyper Light Drifter last night. It was the giant toad boss in the Eastern region. Fat bastard keeps throwing fire jars at you and then tries to squish you with a butt slam. But after a few deaths the proper strategy finally becomes apparent. You have much more mobility in the game on a USB controller than on mouse & keyboard I've found. But that obv won't be an issue when HLD comes out on consoles this summer. EDIT: Just defeated the Northern boss in HLD. But I bought the mag upgrade for the wrong gun when I warped back to the hub town. Probably gonna venture to the Southern region next.
