  1. Just finished Dino Trauma - an indie FPS which I can best describe as Resident Evil meets Jurassic Park. Decent overall, albeit a bit janky. May start another S.T.A.L.K.E.R. playthrough today. Perfect for rainy summer days.
  2. The contents of this thread aren't something you can really explain, let alone rationalize. They're more like a state of existence. It took me at least three years from when Colunga fathered this thread on the 13th of February, 2015 to even begin to learn how to swim in this pool, if that makes any sense. You can't really force it. The Dank Dimension subsumes you over time with a natural flow, if you're willing to commit. (And for the record, I don't use 4chan.)
  3. What's brown and sounds like a bell?
  4. That's...pretty impressive. I'll actually be going there in a few weeks. This is a prequel to the episode from seven years ago. Dunno how this never came under my radar until now.
  5. I've technically been doing the same on and off for about the last quarter-century. I think my latest stuff from the last two years has been overall satisfactory, but I'm not nearly as prolific as I used to be. I guess the motivation just isn't there lately. Maybe it's the realization that there's no way I can make a viable career out of it this day in age, despite the experience. Had I started in like the late 80s or early 90s like some of the legendary Warp artists did with whom we're all familiar, that'd be a different story.
  6. I received a custom coin at work today directly from the chief director. It was basically a micro plaque with a hole inside of it that allows it to be used as a bottle opener. It's the first time I received official commendation at work for acting as an unofficial ambassador for visiting JASDF air crews during an annual joint military exercise. But yeah. Me good boi, me get prize.
  7. Twidder is trash, and I haven't touched in over a year. And now Elongated Musk Ox is single-handedly killing the platform. Read-It is only viable for memes. Still full of idiotic shit-monkeys and edgy teens, but there's still the occasional quality comment by a distinguished scholar. I stopped using Instant Graham Crackers nearly three years ago, so idk. Facetracking Book 'Em is the reason I was able to reunite with old high school classmates last weekend after 20 years, so I guess I owe a bit of gratitude for that. Otherwise it's boring af and a reminder that most of the friends I've made in life I've pretty much ceased communication with. And MySpace...Tom, mah bruddah...we have abandoned thee. You were the one true paragon of collective sanity on this realm bestowed upon us by Tim Berners-Lee we refer to as the Innernet.
  8. Yeah there's a few I'm still connected with on FB but haven't seen since the previous reunion in 2013. It's kinda weird to see one dude gone mostly gray and one girl with wrinkles on her face, yet there was one couple who look like they haven't aged since I last met them.
  9. Just had my 20th high school reunion today. Went better than I thought it would.
  10. I've already decided that I'm just gonna dip out early if I'm not feeling it. I'll probably be the only one there who doesn't have kids nor has ever been married. I just hope it doesn't end up being some kind of quasi-Victorian bullshit where I get asked what I do for a living, my salary, etc and get lowkey judged for it. Good call on Hail to the Thief BTW. I still love Backdrifts.
  11. My 20th anniversary high school reunion is in 2.5 days. Still thinking about going, but I'm worried it's gonna end up being awkward or cringe.
  12. I hope he gets a one-way ticket to the moon via an RPG-7 up the bunghole
  13. I would not want to meet an ostrich irl, much less a cassowary. Dinos never truly went extinct, as far as I'm concerned. Merely evolved.
  14. I remember watching my brother play Wipeout XL a lot back in late 1996. It was the most influential game of all time for me in terms of music tastes.
  15. Welp...I realize BGS get clowned a lot by the gamer community, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hyped for No Man's Skyrim. Fr tho, we be gettin spoiled af this year for gaming.
  16. Sure did. And I know exactly what you mean. Prey is arguably the closest game to System Shock spiritually that isn't System Shock - even more so than Bioshock I'd argue. Especially when it comes to inventory management, multiple grenade types, and audio logs, there's so much overlap between Prey and SS. There's even homage to the original Through the Looking Glass developer when you're watching the in-game video clips of the Yus on those big glass screens.
