Smoking cigs is something i'll never understand though. It's horrible, ghastly and very naff. I don't think anyone apart from (jakies, or as they're called in Aus) Bodans do that shit. Might aswell buzz Swan butane gas.

Greetings earthling, I was in a cycle of drinking a bottle of red wine and some cider and then slobbing out last month. Sounds like you are in the clutches of such a condition. I was getting too comfortable with it, i'm still trying to pull myself out of the cycle, which is the hardest part. I could feel it becoming routine.

ylep to both. It was so obvious i just thought one side was trolling the other, maybe though it's an intresting psychological phenomena that is deserving of further study. I wonder what the distribution of opnions was, and how it was split between commonwealth subjects and people from the north america and then non english speakers. Maybe the americanos just hear something different cause their accent determines that it is. We already know that we can understand their drawl but they in general tend to have trouble with regional UK/australia/new zealand/nonamerican accents. wat?

I have this cranked full volume now (medievil rave mix) either my neighbours are out or they're into it because i've had no complaints. And when i say neighbours i mean the whole street because i have the windows open. When breakbeats get too lush i roll house windows down.

No idea what the heat or night stuff is about but for some reason it's hilarious. What i need is Nightmail, seems to be the only trak im missing. I'll rely on Stephen G to sort it within the next half hour, otherwise i'll haze him the middle of next week.

Insidious Chapter 3 only works if you are in the insidious mindset and prepared to go into the further. Whenever Insidious Part 1 is on tv i watch it, and like it more, what used to be a guilty pleasure grows on me each time, it's my fave modern horror, i like the idea of astral projection and taking something unknown back into the human realm. Chapter 2 showed us the origin of Parker Crane (The Black Bride). At the end of Chapter 2 Lin Shaye was shrieking in horror after seeing something terrifying and we expected it to be that Darth Maul looking demon from 1. Chapter 3 is a prequel, getting to the origin of the demon. Not a film for some bozo to walk into.Yeah, there's some jump scares. Lin Shaye is brilliant and Leigh Whannell is no fool, he knows how to spin a yarn.

No, you shouldn't give it a miss. The monster is a shapeshifter that manipulates it's form, turning into whatever the cursed girl fears the most in her mind at the time. It's very good, one of the best films of the year so far.

The Poltergeist remake was pretty flat and uneventful. Sam Rockwell playing himself again, they may as well have got Ben Stiller. The original Poltergeist was no masterpiece but i'd still prefer Tobey Hooper and Craig T Nelson heading up this remake and see what they done with it. Sadly it's another remake where they think shifting a few narrative variables and making it 'tech' heavy will create a fresh vibe. We at the music makers demand original fresh horror and this didn't cut the mustard.

Mr Turner 8/10 - A slow burner character study, Gorgeous cinematography, brilliant acting and script. An insight into the art world which i didn't know too much about, it being so long ago in the 1830's. Educational and absurd, this is one where you just have to bask in the great writing and another Spall tour de force where he communicates in mainly grunts. I know hipsters worship at the alter of Bill Murray, but a Spall avatar could be your next avatar.
