  1. Amazing album. Domelash sounds familiar as well. Does some of its bones appear in the NTS Mix of 2019 possibly? I’ve been meaning to give it another play through because of the same worm.
  2. If suffering these symptoms, seek help immediately. ?
  3. US SEC copy arrived one day late on Saturday. I believe all US shipped out of distro in NC.
  4. Also, I have auditioned my collection through various audio gear and have to say Marantz receivers truly do AE justice and if you are lucky enough to crank it up to “I feel it” or “11” in other parlance.....ducking wow!! I just had to snap together a plus sign playlist with X4 - F7- 2 spins of R catz.
  5. X4 is one of those tracks that will stand out among the “great giants” in the AE-verse. This coming from someone that has listened to them since day one and picking up their “first” CD on a whim while cruising in the 90’s. Dropped it into the ol Pioneer CD I had installed in place of cassette. It takes you back to that moment to see the epic-ness they have become. It’s like a blast similar to learning Kung Fu in the Matrix! One of their best ever. But I can go on and on about both of these works. Some of their most stunning production ever.
  6. X4 is all that I can make it to. I immediately have to replay it. Worth all of the buildup into this epic monster! Long time lurker, rarely post....but, this single track is worth all of the GONKS!!!
  7. Okay snowflake. Can’t have funny cuz Trump upsets your tummy.
  8. I used to work with Twinax IBM clients on a System 36 and Migration to AS400 during my AE “discovery” years.
  9. Canada is currently spinning around in a time vortex. It only affects the internet and all digital time keeping devices. Time to break out the old Timex watches to track the counter.

Haha yes! Could be part of an Autechre theme park They should set this up in the middle of Dollywood. Now that would be a trip. "Mommy, that ride had nothing to do with Dolly or country music, but it was soo much fun!"

To me this is always my go to record when I am looking for an AE album I want to listen to start to finish. I didn't give this album due credit when it first came out. Around two years ago I was stuck in typical LA traffic, trying to move 5 miles to get a hot shot delivery and Pro Radii came through on the shuffle. I thought I was listening to something I had completely missed and I started visiting the tracks over and over.... Sounds as fresh and new today and I felt bad for not giving it the detailed listening it deserved when it first came out. Now my number one. In fact, I would venture to say Latentcall calls back to the sound and programming of this master work.
  12. great idea, may do that. To be honest my cassette is the worst for sound quality i have ever had, loads of clicks and pops and constant hissing the whole way through. Not sure if you have a front load style deck. If you haven't cleaned the playback head with a pure alcohol based cleaner, try that first. If you still have issues, adjust the playback head with the front door off the deck until you are satisfied with the sound on playback. Should be a small screw that moves the head. You could be facing an alignment issue. I used to have to do this all the time as I would upgrade my deck and albums recorded on one, didn't pack the same punch and suffered from noise. Mass produced cassettes didn't really exhibit this problem. However, I have the feeling the art/skill of recording to tape has been lost in recent years.
  13. 45rpm is where it needs to be. Complete "ah-ha, there's the insane cascading programming and jack hammer snares".
  14. CCAI2 at 45rpm is how I believe the record was intended. I know all other formats are stuck at "standard" speed, but the tracks seem to fit better and combine into 2-3 distinct. Highly recommend, if you haven't. In fact there are two audible interruptions into the recording space. One sounds like a person accidentally walking in or saying something during recording. The tones and resonance of the instruments themselves sounds more accurate.
