    it's a good talk w/some good questions from the audience. insights and parallels to history. pretty fascinating. a touch tedious here and there but only because the pace is slow.. which is probably for the best since there's a lot to absorb. the first 4 minutes is a long introduction so skip that bit unless you don't know who Chomsky is.

    @Brisbot your quote attribution is skeewompus. aka you mixed up me and goDel but i agree w/him. i don't think trump really wanted to win. i think he was just upping his profile. i recall he had plans for a far right tv network "trump tv" or some shit and that hit the skidz when he became president elect.

    true. Carville makes it sound like this time around trump isn't in on the grift though. but we'll see.. i mean... maybe trump is just counting the days to get out of office but i really doubt it. he's an arrogant sociopath and wants to have "big numbers" etc and win for its own sake.

    true but to me it sounds like he's saying his campaign is fleecing him as well.. giving him fake polls and propping him up.. which means what? they don't give a shit and just want to make some money from the campaign and then get out of the sinking ship before everyone drowns. which sorta assumes he thinks trump will lose??? or maybe he feels bad for trump who's being lied to? or his personal integrity is slighted as someone who ran political campaigns for a living?? carville has been butt hurt about so much since 2016 and beyond. and i'm not saying he's making shit up. he probably has lot's of inside info about the campaigns and knows what kind of shit some of trump's people are getting up to.

    yeah i get it.. don't need to get in to the details but when i said "Why not both?" i was just saying why not fix the corporate tax situation and tax very wealthy people fairly? fix capital gains taxes, fix loopholes and yada yada yada... pretty sure it's the same conversation that goes around in circles anyways.. also, i think there is some hair splitting.. there are people who are very very wealthy and have been for like generations or something and they park their money in investments because it's the thing to do to maintain multi-generational wealth.
