the hunter - nice aussie film set in tasmania... storyline is pretty fresh and different, tensely paced... willem dafoe is cool and brooding as usual... whole cast and performances are excellent throughout with stand outs from the kids. nice surprise this. recommended. edit - some iffy cgi of the tiger at the end but it didn't matter.

been doing freelance journalism/editing/typing which i'm not even that into, but longstanding health issues kind of make that one of my only options atm. Would be cool to sell some work I guess but I have no self confidence. Everything I do feels like an accident that i will never be able to repeat somehow, lol. do you write for the skinny? sure i saw your name somewhere recently.

lawless - this was alright but i preferred cave's somewhat similar 'the proposition'... pearce and hardy steal the show, often unintentionally (i think?) comical. story is slow and padded out with romantic filler but worth a watch. 6/10.
