  1. well, there's a lot of new tech with panning where it sounds more spatial, that's something i have to work more with too since i can really end up with 2d stuff. I'd say normally the most important elements should be in the center. but maybe i'm old fashioned. but if panning is frustrating, work in mono until it sounds perfect to you. if the mix doesn't work in mono, then scoop out stuff that's not essential to the piece. i am telling myself that more than anything. ;)
  2. i like the ride intro. inventive lead sound. man that's a loud mix ? i like what happens to the bass at the end.
  3. greetings i especially like the part from around 2:05 and the video is unsettling but nice. the lead synth part is fighting for space in the mix, but maybe i am old fashioned, a lot of new music is super loud.

  5. the stereo imaging for me seems to be a bit confusing. for example in the beginning it feels a bit heavy on the left side, and there's some panning going on later that doesn't, for me, contribute to the story. What i mean to say is that some of the panning feels a bit chaotic. I'm not afraid of heavy use of autopan but here it feels like some manually drawn in panning that feels a little jarring at points. i only say this because you said you were in dire need of feedback and this is what leapt out for me. This doesn't mean kill it with fire or you are a bad person ? does this make sense? i think that the "story" of the song is most important, and it feels like you are telling it, but for some reason I feel like the stereo field can be a bit bigger somehow, without too much "manual" or drawn-automation panning if that makes sense. it's like in film making, they say the camera operator really shouldn't zoom in and out too much, that's what panning can be like. but i abuse every law of music making and aesthetic so don't mind me too much. on the count of three, don't feel self consicous 1,2,2.5, 2.75, ...
  6. they had a window of entire seconds to move that box, you don't just embarass the king on his first day wtf.
  7. it requires a sufficient amount of time and/or power to overtake a pre-existing power. what i mean to say is that i doubt Charles III is going to start ceding power. it will probably be the opposite. twitter for example is worth 60 billion and the monarchy about 30 (on paper) but twitter isn't in any position to make pronouncements or conduct world leadership on its own. (the president of the usa isn't even allowed to make his own pronouncements) and Elon Musk might have 10 times more money than the entire british monarchy (again, on paper) but something tells me he can't simply buy it, and i doubt they'd sell. there's kind of a supernatural level of power in these bloodline type royalty things. not to banter or anything. ?
  8. who gives up their power unless they have to? which means it wasn't really power in the first place.
  9. some people complain about it needing optimization, but I just suggest trying it out. I guess you need to create a free account to get it. there's a strong emphasis on ergonomics or usability. everything is laid out pretty well. I've been playing around with it for about a year and it doesn't do everything so it's not a killer of every other synth. a lot of people seem to prefer phase plant but it seems to be close to the same level as serum as I gather from serum users. but it's just one developer, not a big company with a team, so updates are slow going. That's one reason why I subscribed, hoping it helps the project. There's an open source fork called Vitalium, but I don't think it is on the level of Surge XT, which is being updated often.
  10. she was known as the Queen which almost suggests she was Queen of the entire realm
  11. There's also people who believe they faked Diana's death and she became Elton John's husband.
  12. I'm not judging, but I am curious to know why there's some resentment against her or royals in general. If people don't like the British Empire, you'd think they'd be happy about her, since she more or less presided over it's decline. If people do like the British Empire, they might be glad some other figurehead could now have a chance to bring it back. edit: obviously i know nothing about it, which is why i ask.
  13. good question, I'm usin' Linux with Yabridge to run win dlls. I've both used Anticipative Effects and not, in a trial and error process to get the best functionality. Just checked now and it's disabled, but it's running relatively well at the moment. been struggling for many moons to find a sweet spot, trying and untrying every combination of settings. The creator of Yabridge recommended to try disabling it. I spent time dong stress tests with DSP56300 , loading a bunch of instances with lots of voices running, and seeing how long it took to choke the audio output buffers, and got better performance from anticipative effects, but running win dll's on linux introduces its own kind of problems that caused a lot of lockups and crashes that have currently went away for me as a result of disabling the feature, in my particular case.
  14. Subscribed to Vital. and as for CPU, normally I use it in the lowest setting in oversampling because I can't (or i refuse to) hear the difference.
  15. i'm shocked the CIA hasn't managed to infiltrate Alex Jones' defenses after 26 years of constantly insurrecting the government. It's almost as if he's had the protection of an even more powerful defense service of some foregin country... the Russians perhaps? (joking)

    Dune

damn, i din't know that, it should have been 9 hours. what pinheads those producers must have been.
  17. when JBP first emerged he had opinions not unlike the following, but then again it can't be denied that we are standing at the precipice of the sort of conditions that wiped out how many civilizations prior to ours, and he got co-opted or invested into one side or the other of some establishment gravy train.
  18. back in the day, my crowd and those cultural figures i admired were anti-establishment, and skeptical at best of state powers. these days, it looks like two halves of the people are both wrestling so they can get hold of the cudgel to clobber the other side with.
  19. anybody can think anything they want, but a lot of times people think that by change the map they can change the territory, and i learned that i can safely tune that kind of thinking out unless the symbology itself can be a more useful tool than the existing tools. like a programming language or a new fx plugin. but maybe we're increasingly creating a world where the map is the territory.

    British Culture

I recently decided to take the plunge and start buying Cornish salt. I'm still waiting for the FX to kick in.
