Somehow this video made the track make sense to me. It always sounded like noodling, but with your visual interpretation it affects me with so much more power!

Oh man I love WNSN sooooooo much... God damn, I am hooked on Quaristice. To start off with I was kind of confused, like I digged some individual tracks but didn't feel the flow. But after some long walks in the woods whilst listening, I started to finally understand it's logic. This album is a narrative. It tells an abstract story, based on moods and textures. It is also very visual, and I always have this movie in my head of intense machine operating in a synchronized way to each track... To get the idea of quaristice, go out into isolated areas where humans aren't in charge. Like a wild forest perhaps, where nature rules. Listening to Outh9x while sitting amongst black spruces and moss, I almost feel like this is the music of the trees.....s.s.s...s.s.s......s..s.s...s.s.s...s..ssssss..... .

After my first listen, I would have to say this is probably the most immediately interesting Autechre album since Tri Repetae. And for people who keep saying..."It's not another draft" I would have to disagree. In many ways, this album seems to be allot like draft in arrangement, but the sound is completely different. The one thing that I find awesome about the album is that it is so visual! I get so many different pictures from this album. It also really reminds me of the game MDK. I love that game so its no surprise, but the aural imagery goes right along with MDK. I think I'm gonna go listen to this while playing MDK now!

Yeah, I have always found Untilted totally disautechreful. The tracks sound like comedy electronic music or something. I feel like Autechre tried to be a bit funny on this one, I don't know. This album is a little funny sometimes, just because the development is so strange, like in Sublimit, you have no idea where the track is going, and each piece just comes and you are left to be like: wtf?

I was listening to Untilted in the dark yesterday, and during this track, when I realized how interesting the melodies were (hidden beneath the mania), it was truly an epiphany. Untilted is so vastly different from Draft, Confield, and LP5, its truly odd. It makes me wonder what we have in store for us with Quaristice... but now as I think of it, I think Untilted shares something with Tri Repetae...not sure what though...

When I first got Untilted, this track sounded so horribly repetitive...and I couldn't even find any reason to listen to it. Now I listened to it with a better soundsystem....and it was revealed to me how completely awesome this track is. Most definitely at 5:30 or so, this repeating sound comes in, and it changes, carrying a beautiful major key melody, contrasted to that weird, but still intriguing instrument around 3:21. The track as a whole is kind of deceptive, because of the light melodies that float around, while the stuttering percussion and plucking sounds are hard at work. Thoughts on this track?

I like this album allot......I also love how in the beginning rpeg sounds like Baba O'Riley by the Who!
