It’s coming home?

I figure by using pirate streams only, I’m balancing out the morality of watching it.

Most believable one in the group for them to fix for the qatari team.

More poppy shit, hiphop and jazz. I know there are threads for them but I don't really see myself discussing any of em with you guys tbh. Sometimes yall can be a little pretentious. It's not necessarily a bad thing cause I enjoy this forum very much still but I mostly stick to sharing electronics on here.
There are dedicated hip hop and jazz threads in the music forum.
i unironically love the new Taylor Swift album.
You should share! Without variety this place will stagnate. I like to think most people here are at least open to trying new shit.-

it'll be shocking if "Remix 2 Ignition" is dropped from every DJ's catalog in clubs.
I was at a wedding on the weekend, and I suggested that song when they were looking for get up music on the party bus, it was almost unanimously disapproved of. LOL. Don't ask me how I still remember that comment (I didn't remember who made it) but yeah - there it is.

I didn’t mean it in the sense of empathy…more like there’s no challenge in it.

his pal charlie kirk also seems to think there are new rules now that the elevator doors opened and the effects guys forgot to fill it with blood for their "red wave" scene
I feel like Charlie Kirk got dropped on his head repeatedly when he was an infant. Making fun of him is like beating up on a thalidomide baby.

The Laura Ingram clip in there shows how out of touch they are. Republicans want to win over “young people too”? You’re going to have move your policies a whole lot to the left (in an American context).
That compilation is amazing though. Fucking great stuff.-

nick fuentes actually came to the same conclusion. the red wave was supposed to be fueled by the tiger blood of the silent majority. but facts prove it's a soyboy minority
Lol this guy really saying the quiet parts way out loud. What a fucking tool.

Yes not only on Bandcamp.. , The label was very successful and started to scam the customers from nowhere.
I will never buy any shit from Rod Modell, DeepChord, Hitchell Mitchell whatever they call themself until they explain their self.
The whole echspace (detroit) label started to totally rip people off.
This is the latest comment at Discogs: (Looks pretty nasty)
That’s messed up.
They should do some Soulseeking to right themselves.-

MAGA movement is going thru a serious restructuring after the disappointing lack of a red wave. the sudden realization that only ultra MAGA candidates lost and moderate (RINO) republicans won means big T's endorsement is now more of a stain than the golden ticket they thought it was
Fuck, the comments under that (assume 80% are bots/agitprop tools) are ridiculous in their cult like worship.
So happy that the youth vote came out for y’all.

This is not bad, but I’d suggest for large urban centres you’d probably want to have more than one to reduce waste on transportation.
There are a lot of assumptions that are being made with regard to skill sets and learning but given a large enough population it’s doable (the example of bakers, not everyone can bake, but with a large enough population you could have skilled bakers every day, and some would still be able to have days off). The problems of course come into play with: not everyone wants to live in a city, you have greed and other negative elements of the human condition to contend with, and who does all the really shit work like sewage maintenance, plumbing, animal control etc.
Other problems come when it’s more efficient to manufacture on economies of scale. And of course some resources really are scarce, and so competition for them will still exist.

First listen today (yes I'm behind the times - I'm old as fuck lol) and Panacast, Pressure, Memories, and Drassanes are the standouts for me - although Amber is a lovely opener.

First listen through this. I can see why some wouldn’t like his vox but he’s still creating great textures, and I guess the vox fit in as a textural layer (while sing-talking about the end of the world?).
Definitely worth a few listens.

Man. religion really fucks with some people. I'd be interested to see a venn diagram of hardcore religion nuts and people who believe in conspiracy theories about a global elite controlling things from behind the scenes.

Skimmed it so far but enjoyed what I've heard. Not outstanding, but it's not crap.

there's definitely been some slowdown and one day it simply wouldn't load....i'm just on the basic mastodon.social server which is the most popular, over 500,000 according to that article. growing pains are okay, i'm seeing plenty of cool math and science folk showing up which is great. still looking for more music folks tho....would love to be able to keep up with Bandcamp labels and similar stuff there but that's not likely going to be common for some time. the more of us there, the more enticing it looks tho so, yknow, everyone maybe sign up on Mastodon and quit going to Twitter....watching it crash and burn would be pretty hilarious (if unlikely)
I've been digging around a little - I guess you have to discover instances to get the kind of material you want?
Also looks like you could host your own, but then that would be too much like work...lol

but on a more serious note:
(also top lel at Musk trying to haggle with Stephen King in public).
Also @auxien https://techcrunch.com/2022/10/31/mastodons-microblogging-app-saw-a-record-number-of-downloads-after-musks-twitter-takeover

i think you're behind the curve on things there, but not wrong. Mastodon got a bit of influx back when Musk said he was buying Twitter earlier in the year and seems to be having a second round right now.
Good to know. I’ll check it out again - I liked the concept behind it a lot.

Agreed- TikTok and Reddit are ok but people are just posting how great they are on social media which became so weird during the pandemic
TikTok is among the worst offenders for data collection and exploitation. Reddit (especially popular subreddits) has quickly turned into huge echo chambers and is full of karma farmers and bots.
Forums are the best!
