  1. Dude, you have no idea. There was a good 2 year period in the states where shit like Skrillex & Flux Pavilion was referred to by the kids as "dub". Teeth grinding every time.
  2. ^^ this ...and I'd say that's one of his best qualities. It's refreshing in this day & age when so many comics want to be philosophical figures shedding light on the ills of the world (for applause at the expense of laughs). If anything, having a 15 minute long bit about fantasizing assraping a 300lb NFL player isn't exactly hetero-normative.
  3. I really want to give it an honest chance one of these days because pretty much everyone I know with similar taste says it's great.
  4. Just watched the latest Stanhope special and that NFL bit had me in tears.
  5. Well I could never make it through the original without falling asleep* so I prefer Hollywood's version. Great soundtrack too. *same with Stalker.
  6. Rogan did his most recent special in a comedy club instead of a theater and it suprisingly switched up the whole vibe in a very good way. You feel like you're at a comedy show, not hanging from the rafters in the theater while a guy shouts to a few thousand people. I could see this catching on with other comedians going forward in the same way that Louis CK's "$5 Downloadable Special" has.
  7. I'm still terrible at Isaac: Rebirth and have not won since that initial mom victory. Losing streak is like -30 right now.
  8. Hell yea. Rewatched this a few months ago when the ebola scare was flaring up. Excellent film all-around. I think Soderbergh is pretty underrated. You almost never hear his name in talks about quality filmmakers, yet just about everything I've seen from him is consistently entertaining & well-constructed.
  9. Got me excited for a rewatch. Just finished it up and I agree with everything said here. Just enough pathos to get involved in the characters/outcome, not enough to cause eyerolling (no plot to end the apocalypse with a magic earth-healing McGuffin, no giant speech about holding onto humanity by Max at the end of a character arc, etc). And like you said, lots of fun despite the gritty imagery. Here's hoping the forthcoming MM film holds up.
  10. I'd say just call off the wedding. Her DNA line is obviously not destined for great things.
  11. Bill Burr & Joe Rogan are favorites of mine. They both put out new specials in the last few weeks that are particularly great.
  12. Meanwhile the Indonesian kid who put those toys together made $0.50 that day.
  13. "Why did you have to rub your clit on stage, dad?" -this season of South Park
  14. Eric Andre season 3 started without me even knowing. Just got caught up this week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPFR4bGmVcY Immediately following this clip, Eric pukes on his desk and starts eating it & Lauren Conrad walks out while dry heaving.
  15. Journey & Rez HD are two last-gen games I certainly wouldn't mind there being PC ports for... ofc console companies just want you re-buy the "HD+ remaster" 3 years from now instead of just releasing it on a something that lets you control your own resolution & AA.
  16. Genuinely impressive how the general concesus a few weeks prior to Fargo series airing the general consensus was "ew why does this need to exist" and in a few months it was "wow this is one of the best shows on TV".
  17. Everyone whose stage name is a slight rework of a celebrity name should change it regardless of rape allegations.

  19. No kill runs in Dishonored are really fun. Highly recommended.
  20. I can confirm that it is on Netflix as I have seen it recently on there. I can also confirm it's available for free on other parts of the internet.
  21. Yeah the nerfing of the pills in general was responsible for my first 5 losses. I don't remember there being so many negative-effect pills in the original (I didn't have the Wrath of the Lamb expansion), so I was in the habit of immediately using all the pills I picked up. Was surprised to find them repeatedly killing my tear rate/speed/range. Now I tend to just avoid the pills in general. It would be cool if there was a feature like the carrot man in the original Toejam & Earl where he would identify what pill you had in exchange for a coin or two.
  22. Oh nice! Do you get a Steam key when you buy from GOG? Because it's $15 on Steam.
