  1. I really wonder what Warp management makes of all this.... must be p r e t t y p i s s e d o f f
  2. I agree with those who love it.... and i thinks its very replayable as mentioned.........subtle echos, snippets, vocals, feelings, furtive glances, moments. I think the mood they captured ..... decay, encroachment, man vs nature etc is amazing. I think the hype was well executed and have found memories of being a a part of it as a I enjoyed the ride.
  3. Well I think its a masterpiece and it's getting a lot of play as the Summer takes hold. So many lush magic moments... "Listen" (I do skip a few tracks tho :/......the 2 ending with y.. )
  4. welcome to 2014 It's when music gets directly injected into your brain and/or < 5 people own copies, its safe as milk...other than that its like my farts after an onion baji. out there :/ I'm glad to have paid for it an contributed...:)
  5. .. and that's me paid too. I just hope Derek's on the cover...:) The 7\dventure is only just begining!
  6. Joyrex...................thanks a billion for this. Can't believe my wife told me about it based on a fucking Guardian article....... <----veteran noob!
  7. Totally agree with pissflaps.... superficial similarity and to my ears an amateurish one
  8. Yeh I'm with Brisbot on this....it all very superficially sounds like TJ or maybe RDJ but there's this missing can't-put-my-finger-on-it "magic" that only TJ has (had?!)... If it is them. they weren't stoned enough :)
  9. tries too hard to be My Fucking Sound but without that Tom magic. Defo not Aphex in any way
  10. squarepusher judging fan remixes, BoC throwing international breadcrumbs around the place for their new album release and now the 'chre chatting like its no big thang. what the fuck is next....... RDJ popping over for a green tea with a memory stick of 6 new albums....? AAAARRRGGHHHH
  11. ooh and heres my video for an unoffical remix of Treale...... have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWbTQb6mmbg
  12. was it at temple bar? played there a few times, i thought it was alright in soundcheck but that place changes a lot when it's full, so i dunno yeah it kind of grew out of the live set err matthew Well this is my recording from upstairs of the Temple Bar set.. sounds great to me. Sean, Rob.... PLEASE say high to my italian friind Guliamo who is mad for you guys and is "yay" ing all over this recording.... he'd fucking die... In fact can you name his first child? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PK3IL-Pw_w
  13. Re the 2007 live sets.............I.. LOVE the "au-te-chre" rising vocal near the start. ... so perfect................. How did it come about? an Improv moment by one of you that just caught on or a conscious banging way to start a gig? It's subtle but for some reason mega-rinsin. Whatcha think?
  14. Vproc is way more upbeat to me actually, its got a slower swagger so as not to be annoyingly percy. but ur meant to bust out to it. Well i defo nod my head to it when driving and its up full blast....................i guess the vocally synths seem sort of sad to me... in a good way. Like a future AI machine lamenting the destruction of its makers but to a beat!
  15. I find a lot of my fave tracks of yours are somewhat melancholic... say like V-Proc...... Is it just me or or would you say you are creating this feeling in some tracks on purpose?
  16. I absolutely love kruton: smallfish pa track 2 (autechre remix) Can you tell me a bit about it and have you listened to it recently? Any source for the original track online? Its so filthy!
  17. i'd rather be there Me too and often am, but do you listen to live bootlegs: 1) of yourselves? 2) of other warp acts - BoC, >[ ] or 7\? 3) anyone else? I often feel while the sound quality might not be great, the vibe is undo-able in a studio setting and even the shitty sound lends itself to a certain ambiance - but thank jebus for your soundboards all the same :)
  18. Bootlegs: Squarepusher Alive in Japan/Liquid Room, Aphex Twin DJ sets Props or nots?
  19. Re the 07 sets............... LOVE the "au-te-chre" rising vocal near the start. It's so perfect................. How did it come about? an Improv moment by one of you or a conscious banging way to start a gig? Its no secret Aphex and Squrepusher are rated similarily with yourselves ......and they have done the same thing, sort of. Coincidence? A nod to that?
  20. The hembsy pontins set sounds like the Glasgow arts-chool set (2007) but put through an "autechreizor"........I mean its more twisted and glitchier. Was this a sound system thing. hardware thing or both? ..............and do you listen to your past live shows like "we do"? I drive an hour to work each way every day and your sets are bloody perfect especially on a cold winters evening!
  21. This is the ultimate.... http://youtu.be/B4fyOZVLZB8?t=9m which is also here....http://youtu.be/9CgOWnFzPSM?t=6m10s
  22. Great stuff....nice ending..........he's always at his best live jamming......that "angstromm..." version is wicked. I still think the mask adds fuck-all to it and would rather see him gurn and grin naturally while pounding on his guitar ....
  23. I've gone back to Exai after a BoC TH overload and it's complexity and hidden gems are better than ever............................. That what I love about the big WARP players...... listening to one too much is immediately offset by going back and listening to another. This time its Ae and BoC complementing each other rather fucking nicely....
