  1. I'm never going to trip again. Psychedelics do not agree with me - similar to the reports in that super potent marijuana thread that we recently had. And the bad effects linger... But I wonder if I'll ever stop smoking indefinitely. I doubt it. It's like a warm, comfy blanket of stoniness that I cannot refuse.

  5. If I did, I'd have to shut the site down, and then where would all the fucktards like you hang out on the internet? They'd have to go back to full time masturbating. Let's not get uppity, now.

  7. I'm having a mental breakdown/identity crisis just like Bobby Eroica Dupea*. *
  8. And on the flip side of the coin, I used to work with a black guy who's favorite rapper was Eminem. He wasn't joking.
  9. I have too much lunch meat in the fridge. Honey maple ham, corned beef, and smoked turkey. Now I have to make sure I eat it all fast enough before it goes bad! This is too much to handle.
  10. If I was there with you I'd change the station on the radio, or pop in a CD or something.
  11. And the crazy thing about Agharta was that it was one of TWO albums like that recorded that day. It was recorded in the afternoon, and Pangaea was recorded in the evening. I'm listening to Pangaea right now, and it's every bit as face-melting.
  12. It's a very specific thing with very specific references that recalls very specific nostalgic memories for people in a certain age group. It sounds "cool" to me, but it's definitely an exercise in style that doesn't use the samples as a means to express a certain feeling or idea, just the style. I don't have a hard-on for VHS tapes or bad 80's action movies, so it's lost on me. Opinions, though.
  13. Is it because he kind of vanished for a while?

  17. yea even for just the unedited versions of stuff. all the session material is just overwhelming. really fantastic. have you heard the jack Johnson sessions set? that was my first favorite miles album and I haven't checked that one out yet. The only reason I haven't checked that one out is because it seems to be made up largely of versions of songs I already have that are on the Directions compilation, Big Fun, or Live/Evil. But now that I check again there's some stuff that's new to me. I mean, all of Get Up With It is in Complete On The Corner but there's like hours of new stuff too. He made too much music - too much of a good thing!
  18. It really is the tits. It's crazy how much of the picture you'd miss if you never dive into the Complete Sessions.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cm_cFbbK4PY From the Complete On The Corner Sessions. Sounds more like Amon Duul ii or something than jazz, but hey, it's pretty :sup: anyway.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E3WyWiWnUM Austin Peralta. He's like 20. He's on Brainfeeder, and he plays the piano. His dad Stacy Peralta was one of the first major pro skateboarders and started the company Powell Peralta, which launched the careers of skateboarding legends Steve Caballero and Tony Hawk, among others. Jazz and skateboarding. Skateboarding and jazz. :sup:
