  1. Chiastic Slide. Probably my least favorite Autechre album as a whole, actually. From Hub to Pule is probably the least interesting stretch on any Autechre album, I think. I think of it as an awkward transitional album, with my favorite tracks on it being Cipater, Rettic AC, Cichli, and Nuane. Those are really awesome, but the other ones aren't that enjoyable to me. LP5 is when everything clicked and they really started slaying shit, Ae style.
  2. Seeing him live was awesome and it made me appreciate his tunes more. This Unfolds is my favorite at the moment.
  3. I am one. I don't care anymore. That's it really. Nothing has changed; i still think 12 of those tracks are really poor and among their worse. Autechre can do anything they want, but they were always interesting and confounding. The complete lack of variety is mystifying. They're taking it easy. I think Notwo and Outh9x and a lot of the dark ambient tracks on Quaristice Versions/Quadrange are amazing. After 20 years, how do they still do it??? They don't. Must be hard. No one is infallible it would seem. That spark and energy I want from music is not there. It sounds limp. Sucks to be you.
  4. Some Amaretto this old Italian dude who stops by my work all the time made for me. IT"S FUCKING GOOD .
  5. Also: Simmm WNSN I find Quaristice to be moistly pretty great. moistly.
  6. Yeah. I thought that was his shtick. He likes to critique to the point of not even enjoying it anymore. He's GOT to get to the bottom of this Autechre business! Even if that means sacrificing his own children. He's the ying to thehauntingsoul's yang. Thehauntingsoul is almost too giddy about Autechre, appreciating it all with a wide eyed sense of childlike wonder. I prefer this approach a lot more though. If you have very specific expectations about an Ae album (or an album by any band, but especially Ae) , you're bound to be disappointed. I've listened to the leak once and I thought it delivered the goods. An album of Altibzz, Simmm, and Blyz Castl all thrown in a blender and polished with tingly goodness? Shit yeah, negro.
  7. But that's not even a bad song. He's saying that he LIKES that track so much, that it would be worth the wait to hear more like it.
  8. The artwork is pretty hard to get excited about, especially since Hangable Auto Bulb and Monoliths & Dimensions got that black circle thing on lockdown. But it's a new musical mindelting tour de force from Awtekker so I'm very very pleased.
  9. Anyone planning on seeing Four Tet on this tour that is happening soon? I think I just might. No. I will. I wonder what he's like live. Probably more dancey, due to the recent music materials. Good opportunity for some molly ingestion and simultaneous musical enjoyment. Exactly! I'm going! Thanks for your help.
  10. The Rktic single he put out in 2004 was pretty fucking good. A couple of dancey Brothomtracks.
  11. I think the guy should channel his creative urges into one album a year rather than 10. He has been slowing down a bit, hopefully for his Speed Dealer Moms collab with John Frusciante.
  12. I dunno, his music emits some fierce, foul vibes though I must say. He's done a lot of amphetamines, I reckon. I love Cavalcade, Hospitality EP, Songs About My Cats, and more, but he has way too much music to really consider. I think Flashforward from Detrimentalist is my favorite track by him. It packs a fucking punch dude guy bro bra.
  13. The last three tracks on Linear Accelerator and all of Calabi Yau Space is what I like from them. It's kickass McRadical.
  14. Duly noted. I always take opinions from strangers seriously and I'm scheduling my removal right now. Well you don't have to remove it. You could get it covered up with the cover of LP5.
  15. I would get that tattoo removed. It's just way too and the cover of Draft needs to be black, grey, and white. Otherwise it just looks like some asshole scribbled on your arm/leg/lower back/whatever. Honesty is the best policy you know?
  16. Welcome to the Autechre tattoo club Thank you six. Let's see yours then I have no idea what this is supposed to be.
  17. I saw the tracklist and didn't expect anything mindblowing, so I liked it when I gave it a listen. But yeah, are the Dust Brothers actually real members of the current The Black Dog? Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't sound like the work of 3 different people.
