I went to the theatre to pick up my headphones that were supposedly found, but all they had for me was someone else's shitty goddamn ear buds. *throws a fucking chair*

They turned up at the theatre. I had called them about it earlier and they said there was no record of it in lost and found. But then they found it a day later. Funny thing is, when they called me to tell me it had turned up, the thing that turned up was someone else's backpack. I was like "oh that's not what I lost... I lost headphones in a shopping bag," and my heart sank back into despair after that moment of false hope. Then they were like "oh hey, that's here too!" Ha. Drunk on absentmindedness!

I lost my beaten up Sony 700 headphones, which despite being beaten-up are still great phones. I had already bought a pair to replace them at the studio, but I was going to continue using these ones as an extra reference and for personal use. Fuck fuck fuck. Worst idiot move I've made in a while. (I make idiot moves all the time, but they don't usually bother me much afterwards.)

Both music and not music? There are varying degrees of organized sound. Whatever instrument a musician's playing in part determines the sound that is heard. When I play guitar I can predict what sound is going to come out of it to a high degree of accuracy. When I'm fiddling with some knobs and effects pedals there is less predictability, but I still have an idea of what it will sound like and what effect I am going for. So it's all organized sound to varying degrees. For me half the fun of noise music is wielding the chaos to make it do what I want, but then having it take me somewhere completely unexpected. I find I have to be much more on my toes when I'm making noise music.

^ Just dled it and It's really excellent. Thanks! As soon as a human has created and arranged sounds with the intent of others (or themselves) appreciating its aesthetic, it's music. The other noise would be the ticking of the clock on my wall or a lawnmower going off next door, which is not what this thread is about. But either of those things could be used as source material to create music. That's the beauty of the genre.

No, it's '96. But I made a typo -it's "wild mood swings". Wild Moon Swings would be a much better album title. Still wouldn't've saved it. Their self-titled 2004 album was quite good though, provided I didn't suffer a complete lapse of good judgement during my last listening (it was a few months ago).

I listened to the first few songs from The Cure - Wild Moon Swings, and it was horrible. Did it in front of my girlfriend too --so embarrassing. She even said "this fucking sucks," and I couldn't really say anything to the contrary. So dumped.

Nice, I just added two Parliament albums to my "mp3 player" (AKA my shitty "smart phone" that interrupts all my mp3s with the voice control application that can not be disabled. This coupled with the fact that my discman finally bit the bullet is a pretty big FWP for me. It's made me an angrier person).

I bought a different bag of cat food for my cat last week, and it's giving him extra foul smelling man sized turds. Today he decided to lay one on the carpet and then proceeded to drag his anus on it for several feet. It left a long, thin, remarkably consistent skid mark.

FWP #2: I can't know for certain if the .gif posts on the LUDD Dude Seriously thread are just text or if there are actually emoticons that my browser cannot read, though I suspect that's the joke. It's the lack of certainty that perturbs me. I'm also bothered by the fact that I think i got that thread title wrong, and that I edited what I said to be less confusing, but it's now more confusing as a result. Fuuuuuuuuu

I'm pleased with all the Ministry related responses I got with my last post, but I've been drinking all day and am used to puking after drinking to much, with is pretty much my least favorite part of existence (the puking). For the record I am also of the opinion that everything Ministry did after Psalm 69 was garbage... but Al Jourgensen's still pretty cool.

Donnnnnne! But suddenly that huge bottle of rum I was going to hit up has disappeared. Also, I listened to Ministry's Filth Pig album while wrapping presents, and it sounds like shit. Might be an okay album otherwise, but it's really hard to tell through all that sonic ugly.
