Well I suppose that had to use the "hey look an average US family doing normal shit" angle for the first episode.
Then "OMG ZOMBZZZZZZZ but as a family we still have our own internal battles to face" for the next 6 weeks.

Yep a great EP. I burnt it to a disc with the full Sleep album and it makes for a fantastic hour of weirdness

You should give The Omega Men a shot -- religious fanaticism, space terrorism, it's the most out there book DC is doing right now.I enjoyed all of the recent swamp thing run.
Rotworld was the low point, but it helps if you read Animal Man too.
I have given up on DC now that both of those books have come to an end. The crossovers with crossovers and team ups were doing my noggin in.
I just wanted some decent self contained story arcs that make me enjoy a few characters. Swampy and Mr Butter Baker mainly did that, but unfortunately I guess they didn't shift enough units and they got axed.
Thanks will look into Omega Men, looks like the first TP is out early next year so I'll keep an eye out for it.

Bought book one of Preacher. Excited.
I read about 30 issues of Preacher when it got reprinted in the Dredd Megazine, really good writing / art / concepts.
It's one of those comics I wanted to pick up again and read all the way through but never got round too yet.

Like Mark Frost said himself, wasn't the Audrey Horne cliffhanger just thought up as one of the many (cheesy) cliffhangers at the end of the episode in a (hopeless) attempt to get a contract for season 3? It's so hilariously bad that I could very well do without. I'm sure Lynch and Frost are aware of this too so I wouldn't worry about it.
I remember reading that the Audrey Horne fiasco was mean't to lead into what became Mulholland Drive. Sherilyn didn't want to do the movie so they killed her off (but did they???!1112) and hired a different actress.

There is this book written by Mark Frost that will fill in some gaps over the 25 years we have missed.

Anyone seen Human Centipede 3 yet? Didn't realise it was even released yet, but apparently it is. Looks lolworthy and very wrong.

Very enjoyable 1971 hammer horror flick.
One of the twins (played by fit playboy models) gets lured in by the local vampire and turns immortal, starts lusting after the local school teacher's husband.

I'm sick of hearing about Americans shooting eachother.
Can it just not make the news anymore please, because it happens so often its not exactly news anymore.
it seems more regular than getting a full moon at night, or me receiving a new gas bill, or the new issue of Total Film coming out. And those don't make the headlines.
