  1. Just hit play on Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead.

After the opening scene, if the intro credits are the best bit then it's worth watching alone. So cool - basically fits all of the zombie clichés into 4 minutes and now I'm excited about what will happen in the rest of the film

  2. My favourite Marvel from late 80s / early 90s were those 2-issues in one that you flipped over and read from the back as well.  Some great weird characters mixed in with the usual ones there.  Anyone remember those?

    *edit* Found it

    Marvel Comics Presents

So actually 4 stories per issue, 2 were ongoing and 2 were obscure 1-offs with lesser known characters.

Wonder if my parents still have my old comics in the attic....

  3. Some cool photos and stories in this thread, great work watmm.

I recently moved to Devon and I can see Dartmoor from my bedroom window.  In the stock photo below, I live in the town just below the sun and I can see Haytor from here.  It's gloomy / drizzly and grey AF now though and it's barely visible.  Awesome place to explore, OVER 360 square miles of wilderness.  So excited to have wild camping trips in the dark sky there soon.

  4. Cool these are now available.  Would like them in my bandcamp collection but since I already have the bonus CDs seems weird paying for them.

Appreciate datach'i and p-mu wanting to make some bunce out of selling them though.

16 tracks, recorded 2013 - 2019 in Bristol.  Weird (by Ekoplekz standards) experimental beatery and sounds.

I am an Ekoplekz fanboy as is probably evident; and on first listen this ticks all my weird industrial / rythmic / dub boxes.  Some of these tunes as sinister AF; Dead Head and Kobold#1 stand out so far.

Available on tape and CDr, with a pin badge!

Released on the recently resurrected Sterile Records, home to cult industrial outfit Nocturnal Emissions (Caroline K and Nigel Ayers)

    We could all buy shares

Split it between 100s of people... We could each hang out like half a day every year.

I mean it could be possible.  Equal share of cost, probably needs an annual maintenance charge for all.... elect a caretaker to live on site during the winter months (he can bring his family and write a novel while there)

Needs someone with more time than me to organise it though! How amazing would this be as a studio / party / arts space.

BOC or 'phxtwin could finance this for us then be granted gold card access?

‘The Golf Ball’, an iconic Perth and Kinross-shire landmark is situated on approx. 6 acres of prime development land in a beautiful rural setting with stunning panoramic views close to the town of Kinross and junction 6 of the M90 Motorway. The ideal location for commuting throughout central Scotland this is the perfect location for industrial, commercial or leisure development.

The former Balado Bridge NATO Communications Facility is surrounded by secure fencing the facility includes the former satcom ground station – The Radome (Golf Ball) is linked by corridor to the equipment building and recreation accommodation and office building. A guardhouse was built at a later date and is situated close to the main gate and contains an office area, small recreation area, toilets and kitchen. Opened by Princess Anne in 1985 the white fibreglass radome houses a large dish antenna which could be rotated and elevated to point in any desired direction.

There are a number of outbuildings including workshop/garage and diesel fuel tanks.

  8. Karl recently posted a load of videos on Instagram of him with his acoustic guitar.

    These are lovely.

    But

I hope he and Rick still have the energy for live shows once reality 2.0 begins. They be no spring chickens no more.

Big up Underworld forever. Even the cheesy trance of Diamond Jigsaw from Barking is an absolute belter.

  9. I am starting a new radio show, the first episode is tonight, 9pm GMT via https://soundartradio.org.uk/1603704505_TUMPCLUMP600xj.jpg.fea6ad2babd4259df32cd257ac503735.jpg

"The Tump Clump" is just an hour, once a month, of mainly new music I have discovered from all over the place.

A mix of vinyl / digital and me chattering.

Taking in noise, drone, improv, experimental, industrial, techno and even some sludge drone metal stuff this time.  Basically, my usual melting pot (if anyone has read my zines its like that)

This was recorded in my shed.  Due to covid restrictions still in place - live broadcasting is not possible for everyone yet from the real studios.   I recorded it live in one take and you can tell as I fluff up a few times and my vocals are quiet / mashed a bit with the vox I added.  Hey ho.  A learning experience.  The music is the key.

From the studios I plan to do live vinyl mixes plus I want to do a live techno/noise jam with my hardware.

And I am allowed phone interviews too if anyone fancies it - lol - no swearing tho.

Artwork by the fantastic blackcloudsummoner - I feature one of the collaborative tracks with Territorial Gobbing under the WET MIRROR name.

Always looking for new tunes to play in future shows so HMU.

Shows will go up on Mixcloud after - Ill stick links up here after.

    Cheers
