  1. Didn't know that The Hive came out. X'ed out was imo really good though short. Black Hole is one of the strangest / best comic books I read. I also read some of his earlier short stories, which where quite cool.
  2. http://grantbridgest...bert-crumb.html http://grantbridgest...mbs-patton.html great, this blog definitely has some Crumb I don't know ! thanks for sharing
  3. I think I read these two pages in an edition of My Troubles With Women as well. Or somewhere else ? These drawings make me want to read more by him, I didn't know that much of his books, maybe five of them. I think my favourite one was Amerika so far
  4. Have you seen the amazing (though rather darkly disturbing) documentary on his life - Crumb ? No ! but you question makes me want to find it. I think I heard about it recently but can't remember exactly. Thanks for the idea anyway
  5. Now you mention it he mentioned an album indeed (on his website). Happy end :-) Plus I probably go see him live in three weeks
  6. The Acid Tablets said that the 303rd viewer of that video goes into a liquid state
  7. But will this 7'' he now mentions on his website be the new release he has written about before ? If so I'm sad, I always thought it would be an album :( (this new video rocks)
  8. <p>But did someone really came in and say he / she hates this release ? And if someone did, wasn't it just like a kind of non serious provocation ?
  9. I feel extremely pleased for you, Coil is definitely one of my favourite bands / artists. It has a depth that very few music have. Also, The Ape Of Naples (from which are the two tracks you posted) is IMO a very good place to start. Have a good time
  10. Come on people, we were three to admit it but we all know there are more of us. The veil of truth is above us
  11. I'm discovering The New Backwards and it's an incredible album. Very Autechre-ish. I mean, some Autechre is quite Coil-ish and that album is a pertinent example.
  12. thank you for writting what I can't express in english ! that's pretty much what I wanted to say in my latest post here :)
  13. What I can't understand about almost everyone here telling that it absolutely can't be either afx or squarepusher is that most of the time, your point is that it could be anyone else because of the technique, but what I hear in those tracks sounding afx/tj like is all about the music (depending on the tracks, and I'm mostly basing my judgment on the myspace ones). of course a lot of people can do complex drum programming or whatever "like" that, but what makes these two artists (notably) being such geniuses is that every details of the "programming" is musically relevant / powerful and actually "says" something. And I can definitely hear this musical relevance in the tracks I've heard from the myspace rip. i don't know, that's just the way it sounds in my ears anyway but I just can't get how you can honestly say that a track like for example Untitled (myspace rip again) definitely isn't afx when you've previously listened/loved drukqs.
  14. Someone else who listened to Untitled 97 could give his point about the track being aphex or not ? IMO it can't be anyone else. Or it's someone that is a genius in the way he caught both Aphex's music and sound (the detuned piano sound, seriously...). Or Aphex is just involved somewhat (in the sound engineering of the track or I don't know). Or it's some kind of a joke. Because Malestorm sounds like nothing but a Squarepusher Go Plastic / Ultravisitor B-Side, so maybe afx and squarepusher both "gave" one or two tracks to the release of a third ("steinvord") unknown artist, just to create a buzz. Or it's really a collab between the two. I don't know but IMO rdj is very close to this. At least partially.
