  1. Luxembourg: "Despite recent new cases reported at the national level in Luxembourg and Sweden, recent changes in reporting in have led to a retrospective reduction in case numbers in some regions, resulting in their being shown in blue on the map." So they started counting new cases differently. They have to correct their numbers. Data retro-corrections. Countries in Europe with the highest number of new cases for the last 2 weeks per 100.000 citizens: Spain: 265 France: 140 Croatia: 91 Luxembourg: 88 Romania: 85 Czechia: 85 Malta: 69
  2. Well-written article. (the comments below the opinion-piece are something else) My opinion: So many people are blind(ed). A once long-ago exemplary nation is self-inflicting destructive behaviour, all based on immoral deceit, childish hate, and a few vile peoples extreme lust for power and money. It saddens me deeply. Very deeply. I truly hope that the serene every-day good-minded people of the nation wake up (or at least open 1 eye-lid) from their non-participating slumber, superficially-satisfied by all the bread and circuses, instead of keep shrugging their shoulders ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like everything is just fine and dandy. Everything is -not- ok, I feel. Don't we want to strive for better? Don't you wish to be a nation in which people are good to one-another, in which everyday life is good to all, in which the future is bright and full of life?
  3. Just saw Searching for Sugar Man (2012) "Two South Africans set out to discover what happened to their unlikely musical hero, the mysterious 1970s rock n roller, Rodriguez. "
  4. Really good docu, thanks. Just saw 13th (2006). "An in-depth look at the prison system in the United States and how it reveals the nation's history of racial inequality. " Heartbreaking, infuriating, inspirational, powerful.
  5. Played and finished The Swapper. Good Atmospheric Indie Puzzle Game. + Mysterious Atmosphere + Eerie Ambient Music + Innovative Puzzle-Mechanic ± Puzzles are ok; Solutions are often easier than you initial think ± I wish there were more alternative endings or meaningful decisions ± Achievements are only for hidden chambers
  6. Played and finished South Park: The Stick of Truth Fun Comedy Adventure Role-Playing Game. + Really Funny; Humor is just like the Cartoon TV-Show + Art Style is exactly like the Cartoon TV-Show + Good Turn-Based Combat ± It's not really clear when you should do what quest next or where you should best go next
  7. Played and finished Ori and the Blind Forest Awesome Indie Puzzle-Platforming Metroidvania Game. + Solid Gameplay (Combat, Puzzles, Platforming, Abilities, Exploration) + Beautiful Art-Style + Great Music + Easy to 100% (map shows collectibles) ± Auto-Scroller-Sections can be frustrating (no checkpoints)
  8. Finished SteamWorld Dig 2. A 2D Indie Action-Platformer with some Metroidvania-Elements in Cowboy-Steampunk Art-Style. A fun little game.
  9. About the Chalice of Inverted Verses side-quest: About the Cleofas / Socorro side-quest:
  10. Just finished Blasphemous a few hours ago too. I thought it was a good Metroidvania with some Platforming and some Souls-like elements. + Positive: Very unique story-world. Cool art / atmosphere. Solid gameplay. Not too short. There's a new game plus too. - Negative: Platforming / Pitfalls slow progress down too much imo. Side-Quests are really really vague and convoluted. You can miss a lot of content easily. (this is especially true for two very important movement-power-ups) More Spoilers:
  11. I saw the entire documentary. I found it to be a very disappointing though. it's all over the place. Very unfocused. And telling us they have all this evidence... Are shaky testimonials, falsified documents, and blurry videos the oh-so-great-absolutely-amazing-really-real evidence they talk about? They study not a single piece of evidence in detail, whilst crying they're not been taken seriously by academics or that they're being silenced by some shadow-elite-group. And conspiracies on conspiracies on conspiracies. False flag on false flag. Seems a bit far-fetched, no? All-though I like the hopeful inspiring idea at the end of the docu. Here is my take on the subject matter: Is there life out there? - Could be. There's a chance that there is some sort of life outside our own planet Earth somewhere in the universe living right now. There might even be a small possibility that there is highly-intelligent super-advanced life outside our own planet Earth somewhere in the universe living right now. Could they even reach us? We have no idea really. So far we only know of 1 planet that supports life that we have absolute proof of: Earth. There's no evidence yet of extraterrestrial life. Unless you count natural phenomena or photo-shopped pictures as evidence? Maybe one day we'll get resolute proof. Until then we have to improve our instruments and methods of searching for extraterrestrial life. Are we being visited by aliens? - Probably not. UFO's are most likely to be natural phenomena or even more likely to be man-made vehicles. Don't you think that it's waaay more likely that UFO's are prototype-test-vehicles made for the military top invented by a couple of crazy engineers having a Non-Disclosure Agreement for the sake of National Security? There is no credible evidence yet or even a significant lead implying that UFO's are made by higher-intelligent extraterrestrial life-forms. Sure you're allowed to believe that they are, but just tell it like it is: that it is something you want to believe, not something you have proof of to be true. Any evidence must be well-tested and peer-reviewed to be accepted as proof of ET's. But I guess I too find it fun to think about the possibility. Could be really cool. Mass Effect. (or they could wipe humanity out; better safe than sorry; and humans have a bit of bad reputation / track-record when it comes to dealing with others)
  12. I love Subnautica. One of the best Open-World Crafting Survival games imo. Very mysterious atmosphere... Gonna have to buy and play this game. Seems right up my alley.
  13. How to build your own P-47 Thunderbolt fleet. How to Genetically Modify Mosquitoes into obedient super-soldiers. How to mine the other half of all the Ordinary Baryonic Matter. How to make a Bronze Age Civilization collapse. How to conquer America before anyone else.
  14. Number of Covid-19 infections are once again rising steadily in Belgium since the start of July. Probably because of easing steps / carelessness / naivety? Start of the second slower wave? Our government doesn't want to soft-lockdown (yet) again, so other extra preventive measures are taken.
  15. They named the vaccine: ChAdOx1 nCoV-19.
  16. I found some really interesting graphs and data for the number of deaths / mortality (of Covid-19) in a large portion of Europe. Data comes from EuroMOMO, a European mortality monitoring activity, aiming to detect and measure excess deaths related to seasonal influenza, pandemics and other public health threats. https://www.euromomo.eu/ This date is interesting because you can not always trust the reported numbers of Covid-19 deaths. Most are under-reported. The graph below shows the number of deaths in all EuroMOMO countries combined. All excess deaths are those above the sinus-wave. The sinus-wave is the average normal range of expected deaths. You can clearly see Covid-19 and previous seasonal influenza peaking. The graph below shows the excess deaths over the year in all EuroMOMO countries combined. Again you can clearly see Covid-19 and previous seasonal influenza peaking. The total number of deaths to Covid-19 so far in EuroMOMO countries can be found by calculating the area under the blue peak, using integration. The map below shows the z-score (= relative excess mortality) of the individual EuroMOMO countries on week 14 of 2020. It's when Covid-19 was at its peak in Europe. (countries in white are not part of the data) The graphs below show the z-score (= relative excess mortality) of each EuroMOMO country individually. You can clearly see which countries had more relative excess deaths due to Covid-19. When comparing this to the reported number of Covid-19 deaths of each EuroMOMO country you can find out which EuroMOMO countries under-reported their number of Covid-19 deaths. Belgium is a known case to have had the highest covid-19 death rate in the entire world, but it seems that other countries might actually in reality have even higher relative excess mortalities. And that's just for the countries in this study. I have a feeling that the excess mortality in most countries in the world is higher than what they report, and in some case waaay higher. But, we might never know.
  17. I hope voting blue works, but... Maybe Trump sees that the only way he can survive is by creating an Authoritarian Police State before the voting starts, inciting fear and making opponents unable to vote and represent. I'm also quite afraid he will not surrender his position as head of state and government peacefully if he loses. Maybe he'll let the White House or the Capitol Building be burned down and blame it on the democrats. I hope America can wake up in time from this bad dream before it 's able to transform into a terrible nightmare.
