  1. Timecrimes Sweeeeet time travel/sci-fi film, very much recommended (its on the america netflix) does exactly what you want it to do just as you realise it has to 'do'/10 eXistenZ reaaaaally cool idea, and very enjoyable - however, Cronenberg falls back to too many 'movie/video game' cliches (bang bang stuff) which do more harm than ironic good, and it all somewhat falls apart near the end...having said that, still highly recommend/10 (i should note, both films are about 90mins long...good if your looking for a quickie)
  2. there's a similar podcast episode where he makes another track all the other episodes are all very inspirational as well imo this was greaaat, thanks for sharing
  3. upstream color - really enjoyed it, was what recent Malick films should be like/10
  4. tell more! did you film it? edited it? cinematography? all you? twas' a collaboration I directed and did the cinematography - then my 'business associate' co-directed and edited it is it really film or you achieved that trough edit techniques? i really like it! cheeerrs - tis' indeed film - super 8 at that...theres a few digital shots spliced in, but the majority is the super 8 footage
  5. tell more! did you film it? edited it? cinematography? all you? twas' a collaboration I directed and did the cinematography - then my 'business associate' co-directed and edited it
  6. just finished this music video the other day and released it today... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td-m-UW_bFA
  7. I aint' never heard of Sadhaka...but i'll have to trust you that they're better than Agalloch?!...to be honest tho, i've heard they're not very good live.
  8. probably the best intro to a metal album http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dllOH5IEZyo
  9. great to see they're still making point+click adventure games since they re-released Monkey Island I've really been meaning to get back into one...started Machinarium but never continued it
  10. Star Trek: Into Darkness was at what i believe to be the international premiere (midnight) having not seen the first, but not too hard to pick up Pretty poor film making, however - there would be a pretty neat extractable 40 min episode contained within most of the fluff, (albeit a bit 'done')/10
  11. is that a famous film sound-track? it damn near made my eyes water...those poor old ladies crossing the street...godbless mother russia
  12. the only gripe i'd have with it is the lack luster reasoning behind the killers kills - although its not the biggest deal - the film does give you just enough info in order to put together something in your head...which is nice did y'all hear about the film James Franco did (+ another lad i'm not familiar with) about the lost 40mins of footage from the film, tis' called "Interior. Leather Bar"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interior._Leather_Bar.
  13. Cross of Iron - whoa...what a film. Peckinpah editing at its finest - the scene where Colburn is at the hospital and keeps having visions of his past comrades is so hauntingly presented, and so inspiring from a technical standpoint. The war scenes do tend to over stay their welcome at times, but the cast is great, story great, editing great - just great. Defo top 3 war films. James Coburn being such a badass/10 Cruising - very interesting film (also v.interesting back story to it all, including lost footage etc.) Solid Friedkin film, some nice devices - great ending which will make you think/talk/wonder. Pacino acting gay/10
  14. Flawlessly enjoyable, as with all Almodovar films - but doesn't stand too highly among his past films - its a pure comedy, so its a little one noted. - not bad, not amazing - just fine. Almodovar/10
  15. (remake) Evil Dead - starts weak and gets stronger throughout - ultra-gore at times, all the best parts were old Evil Dead related, they never really took the chance to try something similar but different...pretty poor casting also Oblivion - I was surprised how decent it started, was actually getting into it and enjoying etc, - but it suddenly takes a nose dive and its a plummet to rock-bottom from there on in Olga Kurylenko/10
  16. make it so make it so again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3dJRoaLXtQ
  17. ...me not that i hated it, just didn't love it. It just felt all a little too un-finished. Felt like it was a film saved in the edit room after having limited material to work with. Also, considering the directors past work (Harmony Korine) I would have thought he'd go somewhere interesting with the concept and environment, but it pretty much plays out as a standard film that anyone else would have directed. unsatisfying ending also. *edit* also saw Trance, Rosario Dawson's shaved pussy/10
  18. awesome, shall watch next. Kept saying to myself throughout "surely they can't top that......surely they can't top that" after they did yet another deeply depraved sexual act...but for all its 'shock value' (if you could even call it that) its a pretty great film. Some really nice film devices, shot nicely etc. piss on my face/10
  19. best use of spoiler tags ever. never been more satisfied.
  20. oh lordie - i've been working my way through all of those Legend of Wrestling Roundtable talks, too good.
