remember that diatribe jenkinson had on musicians collaborating with instruments? maybe i missed the point of it, but isnt the way the drums on hello everything never venture outside their initial quantization (for examples of this, see every other squarepusher release ever, or maybe just the body builder)? I mean, I think this whole "these beats are the bar graph for the melodies AND THE BARS ARE ALWAYS THE SAME" attitude is kind of relinquishing too much to the machines.
