a BoC mix

playbynumbers

Recommended Posts

well, exams are over, ergo i have lots of extra time on my hands ... and so here's another mix, which (like the 99 minute electronic music one) i'd been meaning to make for a while. i realize that with BoC, especially, the 'best of' is very subjective, and so hopefully my favorite tracks happen to coincide with most of the fan favorite type tracks. again, the crossfading is generally pretty good, i think, but certainly not like uber-dj-quality or whatever, as i'm still almost entirely unexperienced with this sort of thing. also i managed to keep it under 80 minutes (the mix is 78:30) this time, per the requests regarding the last mix ... well, i hope someone finds it worth listening to :sorcerer:

it's good but maybe less tracks, more time for each track would have been better. some of them cut off a bit too quick for my tastes so it almost sounds like i'm just listening to a bunch of bleep.com samples in a row. but i like the running order and track choices, i'd say you've covered all the boc bases

yeah, i was trying to keep it under 80 minutes, so unfortunately things got a little crowded; also it was somewhat more difficult to crossfade boc tracks, vs electronic music-type tracks ... i realize it's not the highest conceivable quality ...

Yeah mixing has to be pretty good to pull this off...haven't listened to it but the 99minutes one was a bit annoying in the way tracks bumped into eachother. Don't mean to offend mind....tracklisting looks great.

yeah the thing is, i made this mix (and the last one) so i can have one continuous track in the background while doing other things, like so i don't have to get up and switch tracks ... and i'd always kind of been annoyed by tracks that very sloooooowly crossfade into each other. with that said though, i know the mixing still isn't the greatest; i'm trying to get the hang of it, i guess this mix is part of a learning curve. as i said with the last one, i'm really not expecting much of a response; like i won't mind if you delete it from your HD

shit dont work

i'll try uploading another yousendit link; it takes about five tries each time, my internet connection is like wrist-slittingly bad

Yeah I guess I'm coming from a slightly different angle. I'm no mega DJ, but I have been DJ'ing with vinyl for about 4 years (admitadly 4-beat music which is much easier to mix)...so I suppose I expect something different from a mix-set. Keep playing though and you'll get it. Will have a listen to the BoC mix...if only for the PBN track! :)
