I don't think he's into "actual" instruments. doesn't play guitar and stuff like that. more of a squarepusher thing

i'm pretty sure he can play piano, or could at some point.

and didn't warp say he used the disclavier because he couldn't play the piano? some of those drukqs tracks wouldn't really have required major piano chops to play manually

I'd still be surprised if he couldn't play anything

if he's really been in music for over 25 years, he must have learned some type of instrument.

He's learned all kinds of instruments: sequencer, sampler, synthesis, drum machine...

i always thought produces that make crazy fast complex beats must be drummers, because im a drummer, and i couldnt imagine a non-drummer sequenceing beats

Wasn't that solo in Every Day played by hand? I'm guessing Richards had piano lessons of some sort given the melodic nature of most his music

Drums - perhaps he's hit a few things but proper drummer methinx no.

Arched maid sounds more like a guitar solo. i dont reckon anything like that in everyday.

i know all the piano tracks on drukqs are midi sequenced, but that doesn't mean he didn't once know how to play piano, does it?

well i agree in some ways, i used to program pretty crazy drill/glitch beats before i even touched a drum kit. however now that i can play drums (not very well i must add, heh) my drum programming has been toned down a bit, and is a bit more minimal. buh?
