Repeatedly slamming a door on my head and screaming hasn't fixed the problem. I've opened it up and cleaned the guts and motherboard carefully with a damp then dry cloth. A hair dryer has been lightly blowing on it for a few hours. Later tomorrow I'm going to put the battery in and see if it'll turn on, I strongly anticipate it won't and that the whole thing is fried (it was on when I fell asleep). Warranty is gone and apple don't do spillages for free anyway. Is there anyone else who deals with this and don't charge an arm and a leg? Wouldn't the motherboard need replacing? Thanks. I'm a twat. I thought I'd lost my PC forever after a cunting virus twatted the registry but I managed to fix it, which was nice. But to answer your question, I have no idea. Hope you get it fixed though mate. Opened it up and submerged the whole thing in a bucket of warm water with washing up liquid in. Detergent is importamt cause sugary stuff stays and short circuits shit. I sponged it thoroughly then soaked it in plain water then left it sitting on towel over a radiator for a couple of days. It worked perfectly. Don't know about laptops though. It's probably fucked. One day definitely won't be enough, at least not in winter. EDIT: In fact, scrap that. I wouldn't turn it on at all until you've taken it to a specialist.
