im running 7 64bit.

 

anything free or should I purchase nero 9 or something?

 

lol pay for nero?

 

only b/c it isn't look like there are any trustworthy terrents of it (9 version)

 

cdburnerxp. terrible name but it's the best free cd/dvd burner i've used. http://cdburnerxp.se/

 

only does .iso files though. (?)

hmm, thought it did more than that. if you're only dealing with images, imgburn is good. "ImgBurn supports a wide range of image file formats - including BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI." http://www.imgburn.com/

i dunno, nero is pretty great imo. i bought it because i was frustrated with the low quality/limited features of free burning software (such as the one that was bundled with my laptop not being able to burn audio cds, wtf?).

you will generally want to isolate the software in a monoxide rich environment, the purer the better. Introduce a carbon element and stand back.
