What really bothers me about a lot of gothic girls is that they come across all dark and sinister but then you overhear them discussing last night's episode of Generic Talent hunt Show whatever and it just seems so ridiculous...I'm so dark, sinister, boring and ordinary.

It's just fashion. Would you rather people actually be dark and sinister?

Well...no.

I understand it's just fashion but it just seems that if you engorge yourself in something so completely (wearing certain clothes, decorating your house etc.) that it would reflect your personality in some way.

It's like seeing a punk with mohawk and safetypin through his nose walking into a starbucks, ordering a grand latte and sitting down to read twitter on his iPhone. It just ain't right.

punk's not dead, it just deserves to die, when it becomes another stale cartoon.

All the punk iconography, in socal at least, has been appropriated by hardcore christer republicans from Orange County (except they'll do some multicolored hair and studs and tats everywhere, but also have a fucking Affliction or Ed Hardy or Anaheim Angels shirt on.)

I built and furnished an entire miniature/dollhouse in gothic style called 'Shivery Timbers'

Old goths never die they just become coffin dodgers.
