really old photo and not quite the same but i fuckin loved that tape player. it dieded. the VU meters were awesome.

 

there is nothing about that photo that is not embarrassing (like i said, it's really old.) don't judge me.

 

edit just to embarrass myself further:

though you have to admit that having promo copies of those albums makes me pretty goddamn awesome.

I love that late-70s to 80s "matte black (or matte slate gray) with flat bright red accents/lines" aesthetic ( :shrug:) . I used to have a whole bunch of stuff around the house with that look when I was little, but I can't quite put my finger on what any of it was.

 

Edit: aside from classic NES controllers, which also fit.
