slow your music down

what techno\idm music sounds great when slowed and throwed? think mainly outside of hip-hop.

i was playing music at a friend's exhibition when i accidentally had ageisopolis cut to 86 bpm w/o preserving the pitch. this is what it sounds like (is this ok to share, joyrex?):

Aapheexx Twwiinn - Ageislowpolis

and i apologize if this kind of thing has already been dismissed as a fad.

Why does everyone seem to like slowing stuff down recently? Is there not enough normal speed music about for you? Or do you have a lot of time on your hands and can't find the music to fill it?

this isn't a bieber@800% type of experiment; it's just a subtle shift in pitch and tempo that turns a familiar track we all love into something that sounds different and interesting in its own right.

they've been doing this in rap forever.

Someone make some drone out of some really intense gabber and post some before and after for us, eh?

check out other artists on kompakt. andrew thomas, all the wolfgang voigt stuff, the compilations... they don't really *sound* like the field, but they have qualities in common.
